Which coach wins a title first?

Brian Kelly, Matt McMahon, or Jay Johnson?
Brian Kelly probably the smartest choice, considering all 3 of our past football coaches have won a Natty.

Jay. It's just easier in baseball.

Is it though? We have a more recent football title than baseball.

Brian Kelly. Baseball is the toughest sport to win a title these days.

Except for the fact that it's not easier, at all. There are 4-5 teams that can realistically win a title in football every year. Some years LSU is a part of that group. There are 4-5 teams in the SEC alone that can win a NC in baseball any given year.

Please elaborate on how winning in baseball is somehow easier than winning in football.

It is easier to pull an upset as an underdog in a single game rather than a series. As a favored team it works the other way around. That said baseball you can lose a game in the postseason and still win a championship, basketball is probably the hardest, need a combination of going on a run and luck.

Kelly
This list of programs with the resources and ability to win a championship in football is pretty small. There's a reason you see the same teams in the playoffs year after year. LSU is one of the teams on that list.
In baseball many more schools (particularly in the SEC) are investing in their programs...which has created parity. In the 90's very few programs across the country gave a shite about baseball. LSU was unique and Skip took advantage (an advantage he created). That advantage is not there any longer (at least to the degree it was 20-30 years ago)
In basketball there is a ton of parity and the format of the NCAA Tournament is the most difficult postseason to navigate. 68 teams make the tournament. 67 lose their final game. Every year there are some really great teams that don't win. And the format allows teams who were mostly average throughout the season to get hot/take advantage of favorable matchups to make a deep run (see UNC reaching the Championship game as an 8 seed this year).

If we are just throwing names out that aren’t part of the question then I’ll go with Nick Saban.

Wait all the Pawl defenders for years and years said Pawl was just fine because the hardest ship to win is baseball. BTW I agree with you.
