At one point it was D1, as they have the most dedicated resources, but it's pretty clear they skew rankings toward whatever conference has a new paid model that year.
They've skewed SEC in the past and this year they've favored ACC teams after releasing the ACC+ package.

As far as a single source goes saw the ELO mentioned which is the best ranking since it doesn’t have the bias those human polls do. Unlike the RPI which mostly judges the strength of your opponents, ELO is a formula based on your team strength. There’s a reason they apply that chess ranking across a lot of different sports. It’s an excellent power ranking system.
