It honestly STUNS me that people think Miles is the 2nd best coach in the SEC. I thought I was being kind putting him at 8, he easily could have been #10

but you're wrong...so you're opinion doesn't matter

Then explain how he outcoached Saban 2011

So Alabama's terrible kicker missing 4 FGs to lose 9-6 to LSU was Miles outcoaching Saban. And just forget about Bama beating LSU's arse in the championship game that year.
It's embarrassing to see what lengths some of you people will go to try and validate Miles' occassional crappy coaching performances.

You guys are cracking me up with your LSU bias. Miles is better than Spurrier?

You guys must be too young to remember the SEC dynasty of the 90's. Now Spurrier's at a historically terrible football program, turned them around and made them a top 10 team 2 years in a row, and you guys think because LSU beat him (with twice the talent) then that makes Miles a better on-field coach. Any other message board would laugh you off the computer.

It baffles me that some of you can't wrap your head around the concept of "game-day coach", excluding other variables like talent and recruiting.

Saban got outcoached at home that year. Sorry you don't agree.

So going into T-town and winning against that Bama team is now a crappy performance? You're smart.

In this decade, absolutely. It's really not even debatable.

Les has had many good calls in games. You choosing to ignore them doesn't mean they didn't happen.

No, going into the BCSNG game and losing 21-0 is a crappy performance.

You're smart.

Coming from you, I'll take that as a compliment.

Well you should probably learn to make a sentence that doesn't imply what I asked. Bottom line is Saban was outcoached by Miles in 2011, but luckily got a do over to rectify his frick up.

I bet that seemed witty when you wrote it.

bro, you have reading comprehension issues. He didnt say that was a crappy performance. He said Miles has occasional crappy performances and there's no denying that. Look at the NC game. Saban made adjustments and came out throwing the ball. Miles tried to do the same damn thing and Bama was ready for it. Miles had no answer on game day. And dont get me started on the ole miss and UT clock management blunders. Those were simple situations that high school coaches handle every week.

And as i said before, im not a Miles hater. He does other things well that make up for his short-comings. He may be the best recruiter in the conference. Second at worst. And runs a clean program, kids play hard for him. And now that we have 2 good coordinators, we're looking good on game day as well.

You can't have a rational argument with these guys when you say something critical about Miles. I just hope it doesn't spill over into their everyday lives.

No I don't. I can't help it if some tard says Saban didn't get outcoached at home and then questions the lengths I'll go to to defend a crappy performance. The performance I was talking about was anything but crappy, so his sentence didn't make sense.

We've looked good on gameday most games he's been here. I know this because of the results. You seem to ignore that to keep with your narrative that Miles isn't a good game day coach.

he's the 2nd best coach in the conference....3rd at worst. the sooner y'all come to grips with this the easier your lives will be

Yea, I'm irrational because you don't get context.

So can you say that Saban has "outcoached" Miles the past 2 seasons?

No, because Miles had a great game plan in 2012. A bad offensive series at the end and a missed tackle let Saban get the W. I'm sure you'll disagree though.

That's a pretty universally accepted fact around here. We had a great game plan and executed well for 55 minutes. Unfortunately it all fell apart at the end.

You either not knowing that or being unwilling to admit it let's me know I'm talking to someone that doesn't have a shred of knowledge about football.

this makes me laugh. i talked to an assistant coach and he said Miles took over the playcalling in that game on the last drive. No kidding.

You aren't dealing with anything except sand in your vagina. This is a message board. His "life" isn't affected by disagreeing with you. Stop being a stuck up douche and acting like you are better than him.
