On the couch watching with the wife. I didn't call the home run but I called the pitch. I pitched in college and realized the fast ball was gone. Relief pitcher had dead arm from over use in the series.
Told the wife "He's gonna throw a slider. He has no fastball left in his arm."
Three seconds later he threw a slider and the rest is history.

Driving with my soon to be wife on the way to her parent's house in the middle of Texas, out of range of any radio signal that carried the game. Didn't find out until the next morning. I've never let her forget it either.

i was stationed in Pearl Harbor. My family flew in to visit and i was in their hotel room with my dad, brother, and best friend. when it cleared the fence i jumped up on the bed, got some serious air, hit my head on the ceiling, and almost knocked myself out.

This was my first post ever on the Rant (see below). I couldn't resist copying it here again. This is my most favorite LSU memory even though I cherish football more than baseball.
Previous Post from 6/30/10:
June 8, 1996 - This was my wedding day. I love to tell this story. I was sitting in my parent's living room in my tuxedo pants and shirt. I was already 20 minutes late for the pre-wedding photos at the church. I was not about to leave. The pictures would wait. As the ball went over the wall, my uncle (in town from LA), yelled "that cat doesn't hit home runs". We jumped around the living room giving high fives to each other. I enjoyed the moment for about 15 minutes, grabbed my tuxedo jacket and bowtie, and raced to the church. Later that night, I was married. What a day!!!

I went to the high school gym to shoot hoops and was listening to the radio. Me and my friends had left the house because we thought the game was over.

I was at South Cameron Memorial hospital.. It was my weekend to work. I sat in the atrium with another guy and an old woman that worked in the kitchen. Everyone in the hospital heard us when the ball cleared the fence!!!!

Just to the right of home plate 3 rows up. We had tickets behind the tiger dugout and my wife had befriended a Omaha couple who offered for us to sit with them for the championship game. So I sold our tickets and we sat down there with them. The end of that game to me was a feeling of awe. Almost like it was a dream and not real at all. I remember after Tim struck out, the Miami players on the top step of their dugout all in a "get set" stance ready to run out and dogpile. Then Morris came to bat..
