We will be entertaining some friends from Florida this weekend. I am in charge of where to go before the game. Thinking about hoping around a little. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hop around close to the dome for lunch and drinks. Tailgate Town starts in Champions Square at 3.

Any paid parking lots surrounding the dome.

Loyola Ave will have plenty tailgating.

Clara and Poydras has a lot that had great tailgating for the NCG.

Top levels of the parking garages.

Champions square will have a lot going on.

I always have to hit up a couple of my favorite hidden Gems.. Get that true Nawlins feel with a Poboy from Mothers.. be sure to grab a Huge arse Beer on the way over to Pat Os for a Hurricane. Don’t be alarmed if there aren’t a lot of people.. these are locals only spots.

You literally named tourist places.

Lucy’s will be packed with LSU fans

Walk-Ons will have stuff going on for locals.

Most local fans will be in paid lots tailgating.

I would pregame in the north shore then taxi in and out for the game. Just my 2¢. Prefer to be safe

Try under the over passes. I’ll be in the 64 SS with 22” wheels and a 10 k stereo smoking a pork butt.

Mother's is extremely overrated. Anyone who actually lives in NO would agree. But if you feel like waiting in a long arse line with other clueless tourists, suit yourself.

Fat Harry's then catch the streetcar downtown.

The CBD is just not a great place to mingle before a game. Soulless and stale, with the obvious personal safety concerns

One of my Dad's friends once told me "Mother's is my favorite restaurant in the city. Not because the food is good but it does a fantastic job of keeping tourists out of our local spots"
