On offense from? Herbie says about JJ and Lee, I'm not really sure about the qb play. Our offense has been equally strong running and passing. Plus Lee has shown a ton of improvement. Smith analysis has been consistently bad, but I would have though Herbie would have a better opinion of our QBs by now.

idk, but wwas watching Fla game DVR and at end Spencer Tillman said that playing a back-up to a back-up took some luster off LSU's perf y'day. Does he not realize that Bama played a half against the Fr back-up? Tillman and Manning really didn't give any love to LSU in regards to comparisons to Bama.

I normally scoff at people who say (insert media personality) hates LSU, but it really does seem like Smith likes to go out of his way to find a reason that someone else is better than LSU.

I am beginning to draw the conclusion, reluctantly mind you, that Mr. Smith does not necessarily view LSU with reasonable objectivity. Therefore, his opinions are more likely to be based on feelings, than facts. But, at this point all anyone has in an opinion which is worth, well, you know.

Herbie is projecting his fragile psyche on Lee.

It's not hard to be more balanced than us, we only threw 14 passes Saturday.

Smith is a Buckeye. LSU stomps Buckeyes, Therefore Smith is a Big Weenie.

Robert Smith is a talentless asshat hack who has no business being on any network offering any opinion whatsoever. I say this regarding all of his "analysis", whether it includes LSU or not.

They keep him on so people will bitch about what he says, keeping the conversation going and keeping ESPN's name out there.

He offers nothing of reasonable expert analysis, and people ought to discard his opinion like they discard dirty toilet paper.

In my humble opinion of course.

I heard he also doesn't acknowledge the holocaust. Yep, that's the type of guy ESPN hires to give football opinions. Thanks four-letter, thanks for spreading the hate.

Smith really hammers on anything SEC related. During the halftime and post game commentary of the Bama-PSU game, he was pathetic. I am trying though to find a time he actually said anything kind about LSU and i can't think of it.

Bama - 1302 rushing yards & 1307 passing yards

LSU - 1101 rushing yards & 1100 passing yards

Both look pretty damn balance to me

I'd say that both of our offenses are almost perfectly balanced:

quote:

Name G RushYds PassYds Plays Total Yds/Ply Yards/G
2 Alabama 6 1302 1307 409 2609 6.4 434.8
9 LSU 6 1101 1100 400 2201 5.5 366.8

You can't get much more balanced than that. The only reason why I think we're getting more yards/game than LSU is due to field position. Your punter and kicker are much, much better than ours and tend to pin the other team deep giving you a shorter field for your possessions.

Edit: Dammit, Speedy!
