May have been discussed, but I have not heard much out of any practice reports about Chase. Is he hurt or getting pushed back on the depth chart by fierce competition?

IMO his best bet is to rush from DT on third downs. Hopefully next offseason LSU experiments with him there bc he has the size and quickness to be very effective doing that. He may not have the initial burst necessary to excel as a pass rusher at DE.

Just waiting in line to follow Cutrera and Luke Sanders as the Rant whipping boy. I can't quite put my finger on what they will all have in common.

From reading Dandy Don every day for the last year, Chase had a really good spring and seemed as if he would recieve a decent amount of playing time. Then Sam Montgomery and this top flight recruiting class came in and I think he just got screwed. But, that's DD's reviews. Not sure of anything official.

This is just my opinion, but I think he's falling behind one or two of the freshmen. Alem, Levingston, and Aghayere are the top three. Some say Montgomery and maybe even Brockers have moved in front of Chase.
We'll see how it unfolds.

If he keeps his head on straight, he could really develop into a great OT. Athletic TE types can be developed into fantastic o-lineman. I've watched some of his video and think this is absolutely a possibility.

BTW, I've worked in collegiate recruiting (LSU), so this is more than an arm-chair forecast.

...BBA, you know I put that in there before the "you don't know shite" comments start coming.

Funny how Ranters are quick to chastise legit positions. A lack of perspective doesn't warrant ridicule.

CB..... really? e-mail?

You were fine until that last sentence. And the tee tee size joke did not help.

ok, agreed, the tee tee joke was not needed.

BUT, I didn't feel like waiting until either someone jabs at me or makes a jab at Chase in some way before stating my position.

Redshirt freshman Chase Clement finds himself squarely in the mix to gain a spot in the top six at DE--Rivals.
