Where does a 12-1 LSU team finish?

I know, beat ULM, Ole Miss and Arkansas first. But say LSU finishes 12-1 with a Sugar Bowl victory over Ohio St. or Boise or TCU.
What ranking do you think we'd have?

If TCU wins the Rose Bowl, and Auburn beats Oregon in the NC: 3.
If TCU wins the Rose Bowl and Oregon beat Auburn: 4
If TCU wins the Rose Bowl and Oregon beat Auburn: 4

If the two teams playing in the NC game finish 1 and 2 then 3 is the logical answer.
