Anyone who rates Miles above Saban is drinking the Purple and Gold Kool-Aid a little to much.

Saban has won 2 NC's with two different teams. Let's see how good Miles does if he every leaves LSU for another job.

Saban has a .10 brain when it comes to offense

Count me a Kool-Aid Gulper

... When LSU beats Bama AGAIN this year ... Likely because Saban ran TR to death in the 4th Qtr chasing a Heisman ... because he's such a gooooooooooooood coach ... you can spout me some scripture about Lil Nicodemus being the greatest

And the poor guy who mentioned STOOPS ...

That's just rich!

whomever said "no rational reason" mack brown should be behind miles is freaking nuts. granted he landed the recruits, but if you were to take away vince young, and colt mccoy, what is brown's win %?

name a coach that has kept his program at an elite level for more than a few years..

stoops, miles, peterson, saban........???

Miles cannot be considered a Top 5 coach until he wins more than one conference title. Period. Brown, Stoops, Saban, Spurrier, Beamer, JoePa, Tressell, Meyer, etc. have all done it.

inherited very good team in a state with terrific high school players, and therefore recruiting is easier than say, Michigan, which has to recruit nationally and regionally in Ohio and western PA.

2011 LSU with 7 out-of-state recruits 18 in LA
2010 LSU with 15 out-of-state recruits, 13 in LA
2009 LSU with 12 out-of-state recruits, 12 in LA

etc. Probably would surprise a lot of people who think coaching at LSU is like falling into a recruiting Nervana. It ain't that easy.

Saban, Saban, and Saban!!! Like Mack Brown, too. Miles is a gambler and a damn strong one. The players get a big chuckle out of him.

Unorthodox, but must be really really good, because you cannot argue with results.

Never said he was the greatest coach, just that he should be ranked ahead of Miles.

I said no rational argument that Mack is better than Miles.

Others picked Brown, but I used that language (which I believe you concur).

I agree a lot with this top 10, although I would have Petrino ahead of Miles
