Fulmer

Dan Mullen nearly got him, D Dooley nearly got him, Butch Davis nearly got him with half his D on suspension

It's too early for me to tell you just how fricking stupid you are. But make no mistake, you're pretty fricking stupid.

I rank CLM Top 5 among 9 active in FBS with NCs.

Awbarn's Gene Chizik
Gump's Nick Saban,
LSU's Les Miles,
Texas' Mack Brown,
Ohio State's Jim Tressel
Oklahoma's Bob Stoops
South Carolina's Steve Spurrier
Penn State's Joe Paterno
Florida Atlantic's Howard Schnellenberger (Thug U '83)

(Meyer /= active) and the rest have much to prove.

This is a profound statement

As long as this is accompanied with solid coaching/recruiting, I'm good with it. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate Miles integrity (what was it Mettenberg did to get booted from Georgia?) but high ideals alone aren't going to be enough to keep LSU near the top. His 11-2 season could have EASILY been 8-5 or 9-4.

So explain to me what this man has to do to get a little credit for beating these coaches? Mullen beat Meyer this year, butch davis is known as one of the BEST recruiters in the country and he basically gave Larry Coker a NC ring on a silver platter when he left FSU. Les Miles is at .500 vs saban and Meyer. You cannot just discredit a guy for a win because he ALMOST lost. I am not a Les Miles lover, but I do give the guy his props and call it like I see it. He is an excellent recruiter, a great motivator, and he EARNS the respect of his players. I'd say he's a top 10 coach. Tressel, Saban, Paterno, Meyer, Bob Stoops,Frank Beamer, Steve Spurrier, Mack Brown, Les Miles, and a guy that is still a little bit unaccomplished compared to the others Bobby Petrino. That list is in no particular order.

Amazing what a win over the Aggies in a second tier bowl will do for your reputation.

LSU ranks #1 since 2005 among BCS schools for 11 win seasons with 4 of 6.

LSU ranks #2 for NC since 2005.

LSU ranks #2 for most SEC wins since 2005... 3 wins behind Florida.

LSU ranks #1 in the SEC for Top 8 finishes since 2005 with 4 of 6.

really, I guess you just cant rank anyone or anything until they die or retire.

Maybe we shouldn't rank any teams and just throw out the AP and Coaches polls beacuse the

Can't argue with 62 wins in 6 years. Methods are unconventional, but he produces.
