I have a parking pass in Lot 11. Does anyone else have a spot in this lot that is tailgating?

I was planning on trying to join another group of LSU tailgaters but it is starting to look like I may have too many people with me to group up with anyone. I am want to see if there are any groups planning on tailgating in the same lot that I am in and what time people think I need to arrive to have a spot.

Any help would be appreciated.

Geaux Tigers!

Just a heads up...its fairly difficult to get a large gathering at your tailgate at Cowboys Stadium. The tailgating spots are the perimeter parking spots in each lot..they are grass spots and this is the only spots where you can have grills, chairs, etc.. So just keep in mind, its only one row of "tailgating spots"..so you only have about 10 feet to work with. Now if your entire group gets there at the same time and you have multiple vehicles you can park side by side in the tailgating spots and give yourself a little more room length wise.

and to get a tailgating spot I would suggest arriving no later than 3. We are planning on getting to the stadium at 1 to tailgate.

I am in Lot 11. You can join us. It will be 80% Aggies and 20% Tigers. We will be under the Dr. Pepper sign.

We have 12 spots side by side.

We are getting there between 8-9 am and parking on the curb and setting up our spots and drinking waiting for the lots to open.

Look for the guy in the maroon blazer and maroon A&M football cap. Come say Hi and we'll do some shots. Going to have a shot block, plenty of liquor and lots of fried shite to eat. Bringing a fryer and grill with a TV for those who don't have tickets.

Thanks for the invite, I may stop by. I am not sure the clients I am going to have with me will be into the shot block but I may try to sneak a couple in while they are not looking.

I looked at some Google maps of the lot and it does not appear that there are that many parking spots along the edge of the lot. My original plan was to back my truck into a outside spot and then throw a tent up on the back side of the truck. We are planning on arriving around 1 or 2 and by the sounds of things, those spots may be gone. If I can't do that, can I park near an outside spot and throw up a 8 X 10 tent in the grass/dirt without being bothered?

As the lots fill up, do they really enforce the no tailgaing thing? I am guessing that I won't have more than 10 people and we are not doing any cooking. Is it really not possible to drop a few chairs around a couple of ice chests behind my truck if the spots are full and we are not disrupting traffic?

There are quite a few perimeter spots in 11. I'd guess at least a couple hundred. But yeah, if for some reason, you don't get one, park in the lot, and we'll get you set up in the grass around us.

Each spot can hold about 4 pop up canopies.

I thought you couldn't use a parking spot for tailgating, only the grass area behind??

correct...you can only set up canopies, grills, etc on the grass spaces that perimeter the lot. Not even chairs and a cooler are allowed on the concerete...yes they enforce this. Can be in the bed of a truck but not on the ground.

Dallas is correct, but the grassy spots are pretty deep. We fit 3 canopies, a grill, a beer pong table, and two other food tables behind one perimeter parking spot for Arky this year.

When you spread it out to 12 spots, we're going to have a lot of room, some of which, I'm sure we could share with those who arrive later in the day.

We're a friendly group who likes to party. No worries on feeling uncomfortable.

Yea, it looks like LOT 11 has more room behind the spots than our lot...

We'll make due.

Yeah, I believe that lot has less grass, but I think they are a lot more lenient on setting up on the asphalt though....
