Agreed. JV has to pitch as soon as he is ready in this series so we can have him early in the next series.

What is the name of your nephew's team?
My son's best friend plays on a team that is playing in the AAA level of that tournament. There are also several teams that we played during our season in the AA level that I will be paying attention to see how they all do.

There is no major level that I know of for 7u.
AAA is the highest level 7u team and are typically very good teams. Most of the AAA teams in the Houston area are like club teams where the players all have to try out to make the team. Many of these have specific baseball facilities that they practice at and often times, they are playing year round.
AA is better than any local youth league and just about any all star teams. These teams may not play year round, but they are typically made up from try outs or hand selected teams and have good players.
My son played on a 7u AA team this past fall. We were an average tournament team that played about .500 ball in our tournament games. We played in a select league as well in our local area sports league and went 12-0 with an average win margin over 7 runs a game.

Where can I find the best coverage on the baseball team?
Posted by HHTiger on 3/7/15 at 9:26 am
I have been trying to find somewhere with good coverage of the baseball team for a while now and can't seem to find it. I am going to the game today and don't even know who the starting pitcher will be today or tomorrow. Is there any good coverage out there?
I used to read Bayou Bengals Insider, but left when Hunt Palmer left. He had great coverage of the team and gave game and weekly recaps along with previews of the upcoming week. I would like to find something like that again.
Where does everyone get their information on the team from and who do you think does it the best?

Thanks for the helpful response. I did not realize I had not paid until I started looking for my card. I fully intend to pay and was wondering if I could do so on campus and get into the tailgate today.
TAF Question

I have not paid for my annual membership ($100) to TAF yet this year. Can I pay for that today on campus and get into the PMAC for their tailgate?
We are bringing the kids to the game today and it would be nice for them to see the band and the cheerleaders.

My buddy called the LSU ticket office and I called the Relinat/NRG ticket office. Neither call could give us an answer. The lady I talked to said there were club seats in the lower level but could not confirm if those seats were club seats. We are on the last row of the section, so I am hoping that it is club or club access.

I was getting double Maker's and water. When I had to buy one in the club level a double cost $24 each. I know that I had way more than 10 and in the second half, I would go in and get one for me and one for the guy sitting behind me.
The food was first class. We went in when it opened two hours before the game and had an awesome pregame meal. We went back at half time to get more food. They had everything from a carving station, to sushi from pizza to fired chicken. Everything that I tasted was really good.
If we ever play there again, I will do everything I can to find tickets with access too that level. That being said, two tickets did cost me a grand.

There was a room called the Legends Club in Cowboy Stadium that had free food and free booze. It was open to people that were in suites and some people in the club level. The ticket prices were more expensive than other tickets but it was all first class. I hit the bar hard and made sure to get my money's worth.
Wisconsin Ticket Section/Price Question
Posted by HHTiger on 7/10/14 at 11:48 am
My buddy got tickets from LSU and sent me a screen shot of the ticket page. His tickets are listed in section 129X at a cost of $220 per ticket.
I went back to the original ticket request and the most expensive ticket they listed was $200 and that was club level and/or mid field lower level tickets. These tickets are lower level, but not midfield and not in the club level.
This got me thinking that the X next to the section could mean they had access to the club level or a private suite.
Did anyone else get tickets in this section and does anyone know why there is an X or why the cost is more than what LSU listed?
I may end up buying these tickets and was hoping to find out before agreeing to the purchase.

We may just have to disagree here. This is the scheudle Felix will have to run at the Olympics.
Friday - 100 prelim
Sat - 100 semi & final (if she makes it)
Sun - off
Mon - 200 prelim
Tues - 200 semi
Wed - 200 final
Thurs - 4 x 100 prelim (she may only run final)
Fri - 4 x 100 final, 4 x 400 prelim (she may only run final)
Sat- 4 x 400 final
If you assume she will make it out of the prelims of the 100, to the finals of the 200 and the finals of both the 4 x 100 & 4 x 400, she is running at least 7 races in 9 days. There is no other time outside of the olypics that she would keep this schedule.
If Tarmoh took her spot in the 100, you eliminated at least 2 races. This would allow her to be fresher in the 200 and the relays. Since Tarmoh is not running in the 200 she would have more time to rest for the 4 x 100 relays.
Felix is the favorite in the 200 but running the 100s could impact her performance in that race and have an impact at the end in the relays.
We shall see...

In the big picture this is bad for the US at the Olympics. Felix is not going to medal in the 100 and the extra races she is going to run will take a toll on her.
It could cost the US gold in either the 4 X 400 and/or the 4 x 100. It also could have an impact on her chances of winning the 200 gold.
I think the US team would be better off having Tarmoh run the 100 (she will not medal either) and save Felix for the 200, 4 x 100 and 4 x 400.
