Is assault a felony? Rumors he wound up at LSU only because he got in trouble during high school. In order to get off he had to play for the Tigers.

You fricking idiots who use this don't know the difference between pointing out stupid behavior and actual judgement.

Dr. Cannon was my dentist as a kid. I also knew Billy Jr. very well, played sports against him my years in high school. BR was different then . . .

Dr. Cannon was always very nice to me and my family. The thing I remember most was he had HUGE fingers - at least to a 12 year old they were!

Yes, I do and he was also a family friend who got very drunk at my wedding rehersal dinner. All my friends now call him J. B. (jail bird) for short. Nobody's name should go on anything until after they are dead.

From what I've heard, he wasn't exactly an angel as a college student. Felon? No. Of course, who on our current team is? I'm not aware of any.

Way, way wrong example

Read Billy Cannon's life story before you post ignorance ion a message board. Cannon's life is not one these kids want to emulate, and Billy would be the first to tell them that.

Yeah, the notion that these old school players were a bunch of choir boys back in the day, and "kids these days" are so much more out of control, is hysterical.

I've heard stories about some of those guys that would make that Shady's incident seem like nothing.

In 1986, Cannon ran into serious financial problems and sold his Heisman Trophy to restaurant owner Tom Moran. To this day, Cannon eats for no charge at T.J. Ribs in Baton Rouge, where his trophy is displayed

This could be just a blip on the screen, or lead to a lifetime of problems. But just to act like it's no big deal for these 3, is the worst thing that can be done (and probably how these 'stars' have always been treated). If they are suspended, then it means it's the 2nd incident. One more, and they are out for a year (or possibly forever).

Please forgive me for acting like it's a big deal, and wanting to keep these guys around a while. Left to believe that what they did isn't a crisis, could mean LSU might not seen one, or all of them back next season.
