Why do you think LSU cares if you leave early? They are happy once you buy the ticket.

LSU is in the planning stage to expand the south endzone. This expansion will be for the rich by building more club seating and/or suites. That's where LSU can make lots of money.

This will give you guys who complain about our fanbase even more reason to complain.

We don't really NEED anymore seats, but they need to go ahead and enclose the SEZ to eliminate that "unfinished" look to the stadium with those E and W upper decks that wrap around to the south.

A TOTAL RENOVATION to the entire inside and outside of the stadium is really needed more than additional seats.

The hiring of an experienced Professional Turf Manager should be a priority as well.........

I like the idea of closing in the south with suites, but leave the top open, as a concourse to walk between sides.

I also like just closing the whole side in. Everyone is right in that LSU just cares if the seats are sold, not if they show up.

Parking and traffic might be even more of a nightmare!

Expansion plans are already in place for the north end zone, which will feature and upper deck, club seating, an academic center and a war memorial plaza for the 2008 season. The expansion is expected to increase the stadium's capacity to 94,113, and add approximately 2,000 club seats and 44 suites."

This was mostly completed prior to this past season, although some cosmetic work is still being done. I have to say that the new endzone expansion looks freaking fantastic. I actually think that DKR seats more than 94,000 now. I could've sworn that we broke 97,000 for the Mizzou and Okie State games. When all is said and done, the stadium will seat approximately 114,000, once the south endzone is totally enclosed.

I really don't think that LSU needs to even consider adding more seats to TS until they upgrade the existing structure. So much needs to be done...renovate the restrooms, nicer concessions, clean the exterior, new PA system, and the list goes on. If in the future, the decision is made to expand, then I think only the south end should be enclosed with an upper deck and additional suites. That would push capacity to close to 100,000 wouldn't it?

Here's a cool pic of what it would look like

That is a badass pic! How many extra seats would an expansion like that add?

Sorry, not trying to be an arse, I would love to have a larger stadium. I just dont think we could fill it.

Your right, If we start losing in a 100+ thousand seat arena, it could be ugly.

It doesn't matter if there don't APPEAR to be many people in the stadium. For a game like Tulane this year, there was maybe 82,000 in the stadium at the height of the game. Just because there were 82,000 there, doesn't mean only 82,000 tickets were purchased. There's a loooong waitlist to get season tickets, so I can tell you that LSU doesn't care if the stadium looks full.

EGG-ZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACTLY !!!!!!
Why? Because for SEC games and Big OOC games, Tiger Stadium could hold 120,000 !!!!!!!!

Who schmucking cares if the stadium isn't a sellout for Tulane, La Tech, USL, North Texas,
Arkansas State, etc.????
THOSE GAMES AREN'T ON TV !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nobody can see or care if a lot of people leave early for PooPoo Tech! What does it matter?

Did we have anybody leave early for Alabama ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Then you could complain about how long it takes you to get out of it.

Last year TAF CEO Gen. Richard said adding an upper deck to the South End Zone was "going to happen" but did not say when. All the LSU officials in the room looked at each other with raised eyebrows.

Good idea. They could build a dome so it never rains in Tiger Stadium. If they paint the ceiling with stars it will always be a "night" game even at 11:30am. If they add a surround sound system they could just play band music instead having the Golden Band. Might as well add a bunch of parking garages so everyone can park close and open them a few hours before kickoff. ...OR...just make the Superdome our home stadium!

If the South endzone were to be enclosed by just continuing the East and West upper decks (as pictured earlier within this thread), the capacity should hit around 106-108K. I believe that each of those existing upper decks (East & West) are at around 14K.

Absolutely. I went to the Independence Bowl to see Tech and the inside concourse areas look nicer and newer. I think whatever they do too the south side they need to compliment it with something on the north side so it doesn't look unfinished.

I really would like to see them do something with the old dorms ... How Huey Long used them to build Tiger Stadium is such a big part of its history.
