Is that even remotely reasonable? Or am I just that big of a homer?
Sure it is definitely reasonable.
Some people can watch a RB and make assumptions on their talent alone, and not other variables such as OL or QB play, or play calling.
All those guys are all more physically talented than Ridley, and better overall RB's.

I think that if you can't support your own team, get the he*l out of the stadium.
WTF? You people are so stupid.
I dont support LSU because I think their are better RBs out there?
Do you think Jordan Jefferson is better than Cam Newton because he is an LSU player?
get real dude. Drop those claims at the door, they have no basis.

Who cares how they performed head to head?
Well, LSU, by all accounts, ran out a pretty damn good defense all season.
These guys did what Ridley couldn't do; run against a top notch, NFL caliber defense.
That's my point.
5.0, 6.0 YPC against LSU's great defense while Ridley struggled to eclipse 4.0 against similar D's?

Then why did Ridley out perform some of them? LSUs rushing defense was not that good this year fwiw.
Ridley rushed for 116 (28 receiving) yards against the #3 rushing defense in the nation too.

they're not only wrong about Ridley, but about KW
KW is an NFL starting rb
Let us know when Ridley becomes one of those

He had 225 carries.

Do you have WVU's strength of schedule handy?

Gerhart was the best college running back last year. What's he doing in the NFL
I'm with you on KW though.

Speaks to his ability as a RB. He did not wear down over 225 carries.

It's middling. Around #60 I believe. It's not right to compare Ridley to Bolden and Dyer fwiw -- they play in wide open option offenses. Compare Ridley to Ingram, Richardson, Lattimore, etc. I'd take Lattimore and Davis over him though.
Ridley did what he did without a passing threat too. I don't think he was dominant but I do think he was very good. Alot like Charles Scott.

NFL caliber defense
Im going to make it my mission to educate you.
There are no NFL caliber defenses in college football. Make a note of that so you don't sound like a frick-ball on this topic anymore.

Same here. That's all im trying to say. He was very serviceable, but hardly as great as some people make him out to be :coughbomber77cough:

Ingram will be a 2nd RD at worst, maybe 1st Rd'er. And Richardson is prob one of the top 3 most talented runners in the nation. A likely 1st round pick.
Ridley will prob be a late round pick. 5th,6th, 7th round or so.

Lets make a posting privalages bet for one year right now. I bet Ridley is drafted higher than the 5th round. You ready to hang your nuts out there?

I dont care enough about you to keep you quiet for a year. I didnt even know you posted here until yesterday.

I agree. But talent != production sometimes. Richardson was a liability this year when games were on the line for Bama. Soph slump perhaps.. but this year, I'm takin Ridley. Ingram was soft after his injury too.
Although it would have been nice (understatement

there will still be a draft, but Ridley wouldnt leave early anyway.
Look, if Anthony Dixon was a 6th round pick in the 2010 draft, Ridley is prob right in that same area. Dixon was better than Ridley.
That would be an accomplishment. Most people didnt see him ever starting for us, esp coming out the horrible MS league he played in.

Most of the backs mentioned including Ford are typical sec backs. None are as good good as ridley in my opinion except Lattimore. I believe that Inram Ridley and Lattimore will be good pro backs. Davis Richardson Bolden prolly not. Too early to tell about our very good young backs but they show a lot of promise

u will see better yards per carry with a better coached o line, i said it 2 years ago studrawa needed to go!!! what is taking so long to get rid of this guy is beyond me , we have the r backs we need. we need our receivers blocking better also, gonzales is not doing his job as well!!
