If life begins at conception: 9/30/79, Southern California at LSU. I refuse to post the score.
If life begins at birth: 1988, Miami 44, LSU 3

77 Rice (77-0) was my first game too. I thought LSU was supposed to win by 70 every game after that one. I was only 7 years old at that game.
Also saw LSU get by Miss. State that year.
The first time I really got into it was the 82 Oregon State game. First appearance of the Dalton-James gang. They both went over 100 yards in that first game. Both as freshmen. I think we won 45-7 or something like that.
I think Alan Risher was the senior starter that year, and Jeff Wickersham was a freshman. I remember all the fans thought Wickersham should be starting over Risher. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

October 25, 1969 1:30 daytime televised game
I was very young but still remember it.
#7 LSU 21 (Casanova, Lee, Hillman, Hamilton, Bevan, Anderson)
#4 Auburn 20 (Sullivan, Beasley, Zofko)
LSU scored on the first play on a halfback option pass from Jimmy Gilbert to Andy Hamilton.
Aurburn went ahead 14-7 and later scoring what appeared to be the tying TD late in the 4th quarter, but George Bevan and Bill Thomason blocked the extra point to preserve the win.
We lost to Ole Miss and Archie at Jackson the next weekend after leading 23-14 in the 4th and disdaining a tying FG for a possible win, but last pass was deflected.

1991 vs Fla. St. They were #1 and we actually hung close, altough never really had a real shot to win. It poured that night.
The non-call on the flagrant pass interference against Alvin Lee in the south endzone was a killer. Cost us a sure touchdown.

The 1977 LSU - Rice game was my first game too. I went to some Purple and Gold games a few years prior to that but that was my first game. Carlos Carson caught about 5 TDs in that game.

Yep. Caught 5 passes for 5 TDs, and his first catch the next week was for a TD also.
6 consecutive catches for 6 consecutive TD's.
I still have the program and ticket stub from that game. Looked at it the other day, was looking for the price on the ticket, but it must have been on the part they tore off the ticket. The program was $1.

This was my second game, my ex-wifes first. Watched the Billy Buckner Red Sox meltdown on the bus ride back to Shreveport afterward.

1993 Texas A&M 24, LSU 0. First game in Tiger Stadium wouldn't come until later that season.
