quote:very accurate description of miles' years at lsu.
Most of the time absurdly superior talent allows him to overcome it.

The game before Florida. I haven't thought so since, even though we beat the Gators and the Furmans.

I thought they were well coached until late in the first bama game in 2011. Had a pretty good offense that year until Jefferson took over. Jefferson was solid against Bama, but after that it went straight down.

quote:I don't believe this. I believe this is a big myth put forward by those who hate change. Nobody is irreplaceable. When Saban left, we thought there was no way LSU would keep going. Les Miles did some great things back then and LSU has kept pretty relevant and near the top. But since 1/9/12 and just before, a gradual erosion is taking place, and what I think I see is some shockingly pervasive complacency settling into the coaching staff that borders on what looks like laziness. And the team appears to be catching it.
But he's still much, much better than anyone we can hope to replace him with.
So either light a fire under yourself and your staff, CLM, before the golden sun of LSU sets. It's not too late to turn things around.

Skip Bertman. Amirite?

First few games of the year I really liked the offense. After the Georgia game, something changed.
Remember Cam Cameron saying early on that the offense could do so much more? Early on when fans were so excited.
It's actually gone backward.

These last two years I've seen things very uncharacteristic for LSU. DB's taking bad angles, players going for the strip way before securing the tackle, etc. Penalties have been pretty bad too. Trademarks of an undisciplined team.
Something seems to be wrong with Mett as well. I noticed in the OM game that he waited just a tad too long to make his throws. He's lost that swag that he had for most of the season. Wonder is there's something up.

The offense relied on Mett making precision throws to OBJ or Landry early in the season. Other teams caught on, and are doubling these guys up.
The offense has become predictable (just like last year) and easy to defend. Those throws that worked vs rent a wins don't work against good SEC teams.
The offense never evolved this year like Cameron said it could. It became conservative and predictable. No one is open and there are few lanes to run through, and no creativity to make things any better.

hen was the last time you thought "LSU is well coached"
I started thinking LSU was "well coached" bout 02 when we started a 11 yr run of 122-32 with 4 SEC titles, 5 or 6 west titles, and 3 BCSCG appearances and I still think the same.
Hard for me to believe any not well coached teams could amass such an elite history of success.
I started to think some of us "fans" are little more than spoiled, fair weather, and entitled college football challenged retards bout the same time.

The game before the bowl loss when Saban was here.

t's let down after let down every year. I do believe Miles lost a ton of respect after the LSU/Bama national championship.
How do you say you are concerned without being perceived as a Negatiger or a Les Hater. There has to be some way to say things and still be a Tiger Fan
