Believe it or not 1979-81 was even louder than that. And 85-86 also....

Was the loudest I agree an the most consistently packed.

In the other era's...mid-80's, late 80's early 90's...you'd get 9-10K pretty consistently and close to sellouts for 3 or 4 games a year. I was there for all of them.

But 79-81 was when the program first emerged and I'd be willing to bet that's when we had our most consistently near sellout crowd's, specifically 80 and 81.

Having the students on one full side of the court made all the difference in atmosphere. As usual, the beancounters kill everything good.

Of course, at some point the students lost interest and stopped coming, so moving them was easy. It's really a shame.

Please, please, please let the PMAC be like that again. I would cry sweet tears of joy as I walk to my car.

Kentucky this year was full. Kentucky last year was the rowdiest game I've ever seen in that building.

It was such a treat watching Chris Jackson play at LSU. His skillset on offense was absolutely incredible. He could take it to hole or pull up and shoot jumper at will and he never appeared to be forcing it. He was simply unstoppable at times. Thanks for posting the link with highlights from that game. CJ always looked cool too.
