It will 100% be Ole Miss, Mississippi State and A&M for our permanent opponents.

I’ve seen people here claim Bama will be one but that is moronic. Bama will have Tennessee and Auburn so there’s no way the SEC gives them 3 tough permanent opponents.

With the three we have and our current trajectory, that’s 3-0 most years and a leg up on everyone else.

They should just hand us the trophy now, right, because those teams are never any good, right?

I mean it’s a great draw for us…

2/3 have never made the conference championship and the other only has once

Iron sharpens iron. It’ll suck not playing the big dogs in the East as often.

Rivalries you can't break up:

Egg Bowl
Iron Bowl
RRS
TSiO
WLOCP

I don't know about A&M, but I'd guess we would be in a pod with Ole Miss, so I agree with you there. I'm not 100% sure it will be A&M as the 4th. They could group Texas/OU/Missouri/A&M and put Arkansas in our pod.

Of course, I could see them wanting to keep Arkansas/Missouri together as well.

It will be interesting to see. I'd hold off on making these 100% statements.

They could pair Texas and Texas jr. with each other and give us Arkansas, but more likely to be your scenario

You can easily counter this argument with, no way bama , the rec or the sec will allow lsu to have this easy of a path.

I see the sec wanting to have us and bama aligned. And we are aligning for this alignment of the future.

Troll or alter.

With the number of unnecessary threads bringing up A&M in a pod with LSU, I have to believe it's an organized campaign to get that narrative out there. Probably a bunch of Texas fans.

No, thank you. We don't want to play A&M every year. It's not a rivalry. Don't fall for this bullshite.

There likely isn’t going to be pods. Meaning just because our three opponents are A&M, Ole Miss and Mississippi State doesn’t mean that Ole Miss plays A&M each year

The benefit of our difficult schedule has always been having a direct line to national titles provided we win. Easy schedules don’t provide that. I’m not interested in easy

I don’t think this is a for sure thing. If I had to guess it will only be one Mississippi school.

From my understanding they are going have a top and a bottom tier of teams. The permanent opponents you will get will be two from the same tier you are already in and one from the other. I would think both the Mississippi school will be in the bottom tier.

“Iron sharpens iron”. We will still play very good SEC teams but will get to have a leg up on the other big teams like Bama and UGA

It may not be pods. I have read it will not be pods, just three permanent opponents for each team.
LSU could have Ole Miss, State and A&M.
A&M could have LSU, Texas and OK
Texas could have A&M, OK and Ark
OK could have Texas, A&M and Missouri
I don't think any of the "bowls" will be eliminated, but some of the made up rivalries will be.
