I keep seeing people allude to all of our mistakes.
But, OM offset Mett's 3 picks with their own 2 TO's in the second half and the blocked chip shot FG.

Honestly, take out the TO's and you have exactly what we saw an even game that could go either way.

OM's offense simply abused LSU's D. LSU's offense did somewhat the same thing.

I do agree watching the growing pains of this defense is killer. Watching this D is much like watching the Saints D last year. PAINFUL.

Look playing "would-a, could-a, should-a" is always hindsight and opinion but the complexity of the game probably changes if those 3 picks aren't thrown. First you have to think that the way we have been scoring this year our offense would have at least put up 6 points, probably 14pts and a good chance 17pts are more. The OM turnovers didn't happen until the 2nd half. LSU's defense to start the game held OM to two 3-outs and if we put up points on that I will contend that OM starts to doubt itself and it's ability to play with LSU especially with the losses to personnel it was dealing with. I can tell you going into half not one of those players were doubting themselves and that is a dangerous thing to give your opponent confidence. If the score was 17-3 LSU going into half what do you think those players would have been thinking deep down at that point.

Like I said we can play "would-a, should-a, could-a" all day, but I personally feel those 3 int's completely changed the complexity of the game and gave the OM team confidence in that they could beat LSU.

They ran the same trap play over and over and over again with success.

This. Right over the left guard. Over and over again. And we could not stop it. Sad.

They sure didn't drop any passes on that last drive like they did against A&M. Ole Miss is not a mediocre football team. They have lost to Auburn, Alabama, and A&M (who they should have beaten). If LSU can put it together for 4 quarters they will beat Ala. We shall see....
No chance at anything but satisfaction of payback to Ala. this season. I can live with that. Geaux Tigers!
