I remember walking into the stadium with my brother-in-law before the LSU verses #1 Florida game in 1997, and I said, "Any chance something special happens tonight?" And he responded, "No shot." We all know how that one turned out.

just for those who may not remember, in 1993 , Alabama was the defending national champion . LSU traveled to BDS in Tuscaloosa with a 3-5 record. The Tide was 7-0-1, ranked #5 in the nation, and on a 31 game unbeaten streak. LSU had suffered the worst loss in it's history , 58-3 to Florida at Tiger Stadium just a few weeks earlier. The Tide was a 21 point favorite. We had NO CHANCE !!!

Tenn is in SEC Champ game in 2001. All they had to do was get past lil ole LSU and they were off to the Rose Bowl for the National Champ game.
I watched Tenn fans hand out roses to one another at the hotel before the game...the game was already over and it hadn't been played yet
