When did you think we would beat Saban again?

I didn't think it would happen for atleast 5 more years because the programs appeared to be headed in opposite directions. I am happy to admit I was wrong. On both counts.

I thought it was a toss up anytime they are on the field together. We gave them everything they could handle in Bama last year.

Miles can beat any team and he can lose to any team, he coaches like a fan, we dont get excited for Mcneese and neither does he but we are up for Bama, which means we have enough talent to beat teams like mcneese without our best effort and are usually bring our A game for teams like bama

Well, not this year at least. I couldn't see use beating them with our offense playing as it has.

It's been more than 30 games since our team has played as well as it did the last 30 minutes this past Saturday. 30 games.

When he takes on another challenge like resurrecting a sinking shithole like Ole Piss.

I figured we would have to play pretty much penalty free and get great qb play from Lee. Turns out they accomplished the first one and JJ sub'ed the second part in place of Lee.

Didn't figure it would happen... glad it did.

I figured next year we would beat bama. Figured that was more likely than this year.

I'm not going to claim that I knew we would be beat Bama, but I saw no real reason we couldn't beat them if we played well.

We match up well with Bama and it's not like Nick has out coached Miles in any of their meetings.

4-2 vs Bama and 2-2 vs Nick and 3-3 vs UM doesn't lead me to getting into my cliff jumping mode.

If by Saban you meant Alabama, this past Saturday proven by my fat wallet today after a friendly wager with some non-believers.

On 11/5, I thought we could. But not at the beginning of the season. I thought we were much farther away that we really were and I am happy I was wrong. Bama was pretty much as advertised.

Let's face it - Saban is a great coach, program-wise, management-wise, and defensively. However, his best games are not in the spotlight. He coaches a great mid-level game. At the ends (UAB, UL-M), and games with a huge spotlight, he is merely average. Sorry to the Sabanistas, but Miles is a demonstrably better big-game (and conversely, rent-a-win) coach, his gaffes and time-management "issues" notwithstanding.

This is the SEC and anytime Bama and LSU plays, anything can--and will happen. These days it doesn't matter who is coaching (it used to but the Bear is gone). I think both programs will continue recruting the best talent from the south. It'll be head-to-head for years to come.

Les Miles and LSU will never beat bama as long as Saban is there- Hanagriff

I thought we could win saturday but was avery aprehensive considering how weak the offense had been all year.

Alabama will lost their top QB,RB and WR; we will have a more mature defensive system and two more mature QB(JJ/JR) and WR(RR/RS). Geaux tigers! We will win over Alabama next year!

last year, and the year before that too, heck i'm more afraid of Houston Nutt's team than I am of Saban.

never underestimate the effect of the OL and the QB on a teams production. losing periloux would not have been half as bad if we'd had an OL.
