was thrilled when he was hired and thought he would turn LSU into the next CFB dynasty, but it hasn’t even come close to happening and he just oversaw the worst month for the program since the Hallman days.

You realize he took over a shite lsu program right? He took over a program having losing and .500 seasons. This wasn't 2006 and 2016 lsu program. We literally didn't have a legit 2 deep roster on scholly.

If we finish strong and have 9 wins this seasons that's a sec west title in year 1, 12th final ranking and heisman winner in year 2 ,and 9 win seasons coming in year 3. I still like this class without Underwood.

I'm not saying Kelly will win a NC at lsu but it's really hard to win a NC.

We're wondering if we can beat Vanderbilt. Never in my life have I seen LSU with doubts that we can beat Vanderbilt. Vanderbilt is supposed to be a game where you count on giving the 2nd string quarterback plenty of reps.

Thanks Kelly

But what did those 2 coaches do in their third year on the job???

They inherited programs littered with future nfl pros. Kelly inherited a worse roster situation than what Saban inherited in 2000. At least saban had a full roster of scholarships.

You mean the same Vandy that beat bama? Why are you acting like this is a normal vandy team?

I still believe in him.

List your reasons why without stating the previous 3 coaches won natties. What does Brian Kelly do so well that will win him a championship here?

It’s fair to say BK took over a much worse situation, but the team has regressed each year and recruiting is falling apart.

Why don't we start with him getting his first season opening win before this kind of talk?

Yeah, it kind of helps your national championship chances if you don’t automatically start off behind the 8-ball every season.

Say that again slowly while thinking. The past two that WON a National Championship. He has NEVER won a National Championship. I’d rather hit the lottery one time, than just come close quite a few times. Downvote deez nuts!!

Nuss will be back next year. We got Hurley a 4* last year. I still like this class without Underwood. I thought we were overrated coming into the season considering we replaced literally one of the most productive offenses in sec history(97% of our production). Tonight sucks and I can't promise Kelly will win a NC but I still think he can given this is lsu and he has always had a solid program.

You realize it's easier to win a NC at lsu than Notre Dame, right? Notre Dame has higher grade standards for their athletes than lsu. It's harder to recruit to notre dame than lsu.

Is this supposed to make things better?

He hasn’t grown at all after 4 years in the program and still makes freshman level mistakes.

Players grow with college starts and love snaps.
This year was pretty decent considering this is his 1st year starting. I don't expect a burrow or daniels jump but I expect him to get better in year 2 of starting.

In today’s world with the 12 team playoff. Note Dame would have a “easier” time of making and winning than LSU. LSU will not be able to keep up with Texas, Bama, Georgia, Tenn and now add Ole Miss, A&M maybe Florida in the SEC. Kelly is NOT SEC material!! With the talent Louisiana has, a teenage boy playing video games would score 40+ points.

Making the playoffs might be easier but winning the damn thing isn't. 4 hours in every direction of LSU there is 6 5*star players and 40 4* players. 4 hours in every direction of Notre dame is 7 players worth a damn and 4 of them might make the grades.

Explain how Kelly can't keep up with florida and ole miss... he is 4 and 2 against them.

We are 2 years from a west title and last year we finished 12th in the country with a heisman winner. Tonight sucks but come on. Lsu is a better program than all sec programs not named bama and uga.

Won the west year 1
Didn’t year 2 but yay, finished 13
Year 3 unranked and potentially staring at a 5-6 loss season.

Seems like we are going backwards.

So finishing 12th ,winning a heisman and having one of the most productive offenses in sec history is just yay?

We have a chance to win out and finish ranked.

Saban lost 5 games and had a worse year in year 3 at lsu.
Kirby lost 3 games and a worse year in year 3 at uga.

I'm done for the night brother.... enjoyed the back and forth.

Are we ignoring the historically bad defense and the fact that we missed the playoffs again?

I guess after back to back 10 win seasons, possibly winning 9 and currently being unranked is fine?

What about the current trajectory of the program inspires this confidence
