Yeah, they are on a sweet little run right now but there is nothing, absolutely nothing in NS's history as a coach that indicates year in and year out dominance like the Gumps and some of the more weak minded Tiger fans seem to think is coming down the road.

Go look at the number of personal files under Saban at LSU and Miles at LSU. Saban's teams personal files were much greater than Miles.

How quickly they forget the displined player getting the personal file for Alabama after scoring the TD on Ole Miss. He found his way back into the game. So much for discipline.

Or, the receiver who found his way back in the game after halftime when suspended by Saban last year. Talk about glass houses. Is there any level the folks at Bama will not go to?

I'll bet Saban picks his nose on the sidelines more than Miles. Obviously Miles must have more self control than Saban because of this.

The level of ignorance on this board sometimes, is amazing.

2002 Season

Okay, so we got 50 pts scored on us. It happens. One thing we can say is that our offense, save for the 2001 season, is a lot better under Miles than it was under Saban. So, even if a team can score on us, we don't have to worry about our ability to score. The bottom line is to win the game. Whether its 14-0, or 42-28, is irrelevant to me.

How long do you think the crowd will booooo when Saban comes on the field? I know, don't boo, but it IS going to happenn. Somebody needs to talk to Jimbo and get the real stories on the 2 coaches. Did Jimbo leave because of the weak staff Miles was bringing in? Was that the reason he put his name in every pot??? Next question.....how many O coaches have become Championship level coaches? Would you say DCs make the best HCs?

First of all this is not the exact same staff that was here when Jimbo left. Jimbo left to go back to FSU to coach under a man he thinks of as a father and where he has been promised the head coaching gig. Does that answer your silly question?

Fans obssesed about Saban in 2007? When did this die? I see numerous posts. Please, dont fool yourself. Its still obssesion that almost appears to be of the "needing help" kind.
I dont remember the Vandy fans nashing teeth and wanting Dinardo and spewing and steaming for 2 years. yea, there were a few ill feelings. Nothing like this. Nothing like this at Florida with Spurrier either. The obssession lives in LA, big time. Give me a break.

This is just one long arse argument being bouyed by both sides (BAMA/LSU) on this board for the last two years. The obsession comes from both directions. College football and the sidebar drama of ex coaches and old rivals are the only true obsessions here anyway. You are here aren't you Gump? I don't see you starting any threads, just popping in on any Saban/LSU/Bama threads to defend the honor of Nick. I mean, that seems like more of an obsession issue than us talking about our former coach.

This whole thread was started because Bama fans seem to think that LSU would return last year's national championship if we could just somehow get Saban back. GIVE ME A BREAK!!! Nick was a good coach and he is a good coach at Bama, but he means absolutely nothing to LSU right now. He is simply the coach on the other sideline.
