He only gets early carries when the opposing D knows we're going to pound it up the middle.
And now he gets even less as we've become less reliant on the inside zone and more prone to option it early to make the defense run around the field.

I think Ware was more effective last year when he was about 10-15lb lighter. He ran more like Hillard. His problem is he needs to lose weight because he has become a straight up and down runner with no moves. Checkout the A&M game from last year he was a beast.
FWIW: I still think he runs extremly hard though..

He's slow. If you need 2 yards and a pile of dust, he's your man. His touches need to be limited against AL.
