+1...no wonder the student section is a shell of its former self. They make it very difficult to get in the stadium if you don't get tickets in your name at the beginning of the year.

Yes, both the user and issuer are prohibited from attending all LSU Sporting Events as a student for the remainder of the 2009-10 year and are not allowed to order football tickets for the 2010/11 season.

Wow. That is ridiculous.

Why? Buy the tickets and go to the fricking game. If you can't, sell your ticket to another student who does not have tickets.

Its the Student Section. Not the "students and other random people who want to sit there" section.

I've calculated the odds, and the odds of getting caught if you aren't completely retarded about the ID you use is slim.

How? As long as you are a full-time student in good standing, you can use ANY student's ticket to go to the game.

LSU owes me after not being able to sit in the student section for ANY games for 5 years

(and for being one of about 15 students to regularly support men's basketball)

I agree. The system is not flawless but when some brown haired 27 year old guy uses a 18 year old PhiMu named Susan's ID...you're asking for it.

Someone posted here earlier that they put your name on your ticket. Do you not have to have the same name on the ticket as on the ID to get in? If not, what's the point of putting the name on the ticket?

I agree. To me, its like being under the age to get into a bar. If you are ballsy enough and have a decent ID, go for it and if it works, great for you. If you are a huge guy with blonde hair, you'd be an idiot to try it with a little black girl's ID

true dat...I know a bunch of students don't get to buy tickets, so I understand LSU trying to make student tickets available to the most students they can.

Season tickets for most sports teams have the holders name/account number on them.

Hell the Saints sheet has the owner's address on them.

No. Tiger Card must be yours, but the ticket can be anyone's.

I'm just saying that you have to be reasonable and not have such harsh penalties. For instance, a student who pays his way through college and has to wait tables the night of the Florida game; therefore, gives his best friend who graduated early in August his ticket and ID.

For one of the games, I gave my ticket to a freshman I know and let a recent graduate use my ID since I had to work throughout the day.

Right, my LSU season tickets have my name and address on the sheet, but not on each individual ticket. My account number is on each ticket though, so maybe that's just LSU's way of making it easier/quicker to ID a student ticket. I took this to mean that LSU was putting students' names on the tickets for ID purposes.

Oh please, spare me with the BS...

1. The UF game has been on October 10th for 4 years now
2. Don't get a job that requires you to work on gamedays
3. If he has to work, sell the ticket to someone who is still in school.
4. His "best friend" is an idiot for graduating early.

No, I have a family friend who has a number of tickets...I got a season single from them. I'm at like 6,900 in TAF.

Right, because jobs that dont work on saturdays and can fit around your school schedule are so easy to come by these days
