...And it was my FIRST trip to Tiger Stadium...

But for me, it was without a doubt, Ole Miss in '97 following Spurrier's de-throning the week before. 11am kickoff and we were as flat as 3-day-old Natty Light.
ETA: having Tubby's smiling mug out there didn't help, either...

Also Tyler even could have run for it
I remember that play very well - DiNardo indicated afterward that there was a miss communication, and Tyler was NOT supposed to pass on that option, but run. Oh well.

quote:Good call. That LSU squad was way too talented to lose to Wisconsin, but they ugly'd us up and played the four corners. What was the final score, like 55-50?
Basketball - the loss to Wisconsin in the Sweet 16 was tough since that team was poised for the final four and faced the worst possible matchup possible
And that was right after we had beaten UT-Austin, with that incredible Stromile block against Chris Mihm!
I also vividly remember losing to Florida 19-7 in 2003. Skyler ran back a punt for a TD right into the student section, which went berserk. We were up 7-0, and I remember with such clarity thinking "My god. We're going to win the national championship." Then we didn't do anything the rest of the game. Devery Henderson finally caught a long pass in the fourth, but fumbled and lost it inside the UF 20. My national championship hopes were dashed.

2002 Arky game. Was at my Mom's boyfriend's house in Jackson, MS and my girlfriend kept saying, Arkansas can't come back. Of course, Matt Jones went wild on Saban and we lost and did not go back to the SEC Championship game.

Florida 58-3. I have a friend that is a Florida fan, and he came to the game. He kept trying to get me to bet, but I new how much we sucked. The line was around 30, but I wouldn't bite until he got to 50. Hard to imagine today, but I had LSU and 50 in a HOME GAME and lost. My how times have changed.

There are too many to count. So I'll just say that every game in which Lou Tepper was present was pretty depressing.
I think all the others have been covered, but Auburn 2006 stands out.
Tenn 2005 was the worst I've seen in person, followed closely by 1998 Alabama in which I think Bama got two onside kicks to come back and win in the final couple minutes.

how about the tennessee game after katrina?... up 21-0 and end up losing in the second half. also arky and kentucky last year b/c of the number one ranking and the seemingly ending of NC hopes. and one more since i was living in GA at the time was when they demolished us btwn the hedges and we kneed the ball on the 1yd line...

This loss didnt bother me that bad since it was quite clear to me that LSU was not that good that year once Mauck went down. That offense was putrid.

For me it had to be Tenn. 2002. Waited and waited for football season because of hurricane. Got tickets to that game...we played so well in the first half and then they just pulled the rug out from under out feet.

We have a winner. It had huge implications, and the neding was unbearable.

Last year's Arkansas game wasn't much fun either.

1986 vs. Miami of Ohio. My first game in the student section (could I not get tickets to A&M? I can't remember). It was early, it rained, we lost, and I wound up with a baggie full of someone else's booze leaking all over me.
But truly depressing? Lady Tigers vs. Rutgers in the Final Four. If we could've just gotten them to cough up the ball we would've won. It was awful.

2003 Cotton Bowl against Texass
Besides the fact that the game started at 11, and I don't remember ever feeling much worse at a football game.

it seems like most everyone on here has a very short term memory. i have seen like 5 games pre 2002 listed on here. c'mon people, are you forgetting the entire decade of the 90's. i could name about 20 games in that decade alone that would top anything except maybe the UT 2005 game. I'll list a few: about every game in the Hallman era, Auburn 1994, Alabama 1996, Auburn 1997, Ole Miss 1997, UGA 1998 (got the snowball rolling), UK 1998, Ole Miss 1998, Alabama 1998, Florida 1998, the 1999 season
