I believe DC has no school plates.

Maryland has lots, but our alumni association is tiny... not sure there are enough of us to get a plate, as much as I would like to. Both my parents in Mississippi and my brother in Texas have them.

Why do we tiger bait other fans? I like tiger baiting the other team, when they come out.

I would never tiger bait someone in a public place. Those losers wearing Florida shirts and red hats with the letter "A"?

Nah. Look at Connecticut. Maybe it wouldn't be her cup of tea, but we'll get players who like his system, or like LSU, or want to be close to home, or whatever...

I do think he got along better with some of last year's seniors, like Q Chaney and Erica White (both of whom I think will become coaches someday) than he does with the younguns, but that will improve.

sigh. great game, girls. guess this frees up my weekend.
That McCoughtry girl has been on her butt at least 5 times. Maybe she'll get tired, with all that falling down.

At least men's basketball players can hit jump shots.

Somebody go look up our men's shooting percentage vs. our women's, please???? I don't have time; I'm on deadline.

I don't think you can say, with absolute certainty, that our men's team can hit jump shots.

Do you kids understand that I'm not saying you aren't entitled to your opinions? Fine, you don't like it. But, empirically, the sports are different, and I like women's basketball much better. If you don't like it, why are you even reading this thread?
Bricked layups happen all the time in college boys' basketball, too. ALL THE TIME!!! I've seen LSU miss them. Also bricked free-throws and missed dunks.

So that's not what you are judging the sport on; you're just sexist. As am I :-)

There is wonder in watching a Temeka Johnson make an unbelievable shot that, for me, is cooler than Sylvia's little hook. Maybe it's because I'm short!
No surprise that some of you d-bags can't keep your mouths shut.

Go see us whip Harvard on Wednesday, fer crying out loud. Go support the second best team at LSU these past 5-6 years tomorrow night.

Bad basketball=walking, dunking, posturing, being tall.

Good basketball=defense, shot selection, timing, teamwork.

That's a matter of opinion, no matter how resolutely some of you state as fact that women's basketball is boring (no way) or bad (pejorative, at best).

I have to follow them from up here, but I would give anything to be there. I would've come down last year when we had early spring break, but I was having radiation for breast cancer all month long and I couldn't.

Make those freethrows, girls! Yay Eason!
Dude, Patrick is just rappin'. I don't have a picture to look at!

How did I get this job?
Man, the officials are running the game. Let them play!
go ahead--Patrick never says how much time is left, and I'm stuck with radio up here in Maryland.

:geauxtigers:
Looks like ESPN is switching to Indian Territory U, and my family will be demanding Amazing Race, but I'll try to update from the radio.

Yay! It's stickied!

Hightower has 20, it's 35-25 with 25 seconds before halftime.

Drat, they stole it.
With 7:22 left in the first half, it's 21-14 LSU.

GB is good on defense, but we're handling them pretty well on offense. Announcers are saying it's our quickness but we are a lot bigger, too. Hightower has 11 points.
1st official timeout it's 11-7 Tigers.

Not at LSU.

Maybe you wouldn't know that, since you're a fan of a Div. III school.

Now, lacrosse is irrelevant, AND no one understands it.

He can't even catch, really...

He could've stepped on someone's toe, though.

Trust me, ACC football is not SEC football. Take it from someone who lives in ACC-land.

UNC was only good with Mack Brown, so that doesn't really work.

UNC is a wanna-be Ivy.

makes me even more suspicious of the officiating. It was a very well-called game for so long and then... what? we got tired and started fouling? What about when NC was playing so sloppy?

And when the officiating tide began to turn , around that grabbing foul by Chris Johnson, one official was aggressively pointing at the fouling players--really ugly. Totally unnecessary.
