I think the QUIETEST single moment was back in '07 when we were ranked #1 and lost in triple overtime to the Hogs. It was as if we had all witnessed a killing and didn't know what to say.

TN 2000 in overtime ....I've been to all of them, and that has been the loudest....no doubt about it

the Florida game in 07 when they announced USC had just lost. Ive been to dozens of stadiums and a lot of the big ones reach a certain point of loudness(some are more consistantly loud though) but that moment went above and beyond anything I had ever heard before.

this. My seats are a couple of rows up from the field.
It was literally so loud it was like white noise. INSANE.

It probably has more to do with where I was sitting more than anything else, but honestly the loudest I've heard it was in '97 vs Auburn early in the 4th quarter after LSU had just extended he lead to 4. Auburn got the ball at their 20 but Craig was sacked twice in a row to give Auburn 3rd and very long at their own 5 yard line. They were in the North EZ, close to the student section and the place was going absolutely nuts after each sack and I want to say the crowd forced a false start on 3rd down, backing them up even closer to their goal line. When Craig lined up after the penalty I mean to tell you I thought my ears were bleeding. Auburn was forced to punt, but on their next possession for some stupid reaon on 3rd and short LSU passed instead of giving the ball to Collins. Then it was downhill from there.
For that game in '97, I was in the West side gold seats about 10 rows up from the field. I was at the '88 Auburn game as well, but my seat was up in the Northeast corner, and to be honest when Fuller made the catch in the end zone, I kind of lost my mind and don't really have any recollection of how loud it got. It was probably louder than the 3rd down play in '97, but I wouldn't know.

quote:Loudest game I attended personally. The loudest moment in that game had to be Tommy Banks TD dive that came right after a long interception return to inside the 5 yard line. I was also at the earthquake game and I may have to give it at least a tie with the '97 UF game.
florida 97, the entire game

2003' LSU chant after the visiting team scored. Then the cheer after we shoved one right back down their throats.

2007 Florida - Brought Girlfriend to first LSU Home Game. She is from Ohio and went to University of Cincinnati and was completely blown away at the crowd outside and inside the stadium. Not bad game for your first...
Also 1982 Florida State Game (Orange Throwing Game)

Actually does make sense. Many of the new seats are in Suites and have no bearing on crowd noise. Also, the situation was 4th down, a few seconds left, LSU on about the 6 or 7 yard line and EVERYONE on their feet. Literally, it's the last play of the game and LSU will either win or lose on this last play. To make it more intense, Hodson had just put a pass right on the money to Fuller in the end zone on 3rd down and he had dropped what would have been the game winner. The stakes were huge (My memory fades, but I think Auburn was undefeated and 3rd or 4th in the nation) and LSU had only one loss. Auburn was overwhelming favourites and was supposed to be one of Pat Dye's best teams. LSU had no business winning that game and had done nothing offensively all game until the last drive. This turned out to be Auburn's only regular season loss that year, while LSU had lost the week before at Florida and would get killed later that year against Miami 44-3. Just googled and saw that we had lost to Ohio St 36-33 the week before losing to UF on the road. Even though LSU finished tied with Auburn and beat them head to head, Auburn represented the SEC in the Sugar Bowl and lost to Fla St 13-7. I believe the SEC tiebreaker rules were changed a few years after that game because of the uproar it caused.

LSU Auburn.... Earthquake Game. Was in school at the time... was freaking amazing. Still have a scar on my shoulder from my whole section falling down one or two rows in tiger Stadium from the excitement. Hit the corner of a metal bleacher with my left shoulder as we fell.... man I am proud of that scar!

1. Byrd catch vs. Auburn
2. Maybe when Tiffin missed the kick two years ago at the end of regulation against Alabama

for me it was the 07 game against Florida. I recorded the tigers coming out of the tunnel, and it was so loud my speakers went dead on my phone from the recording.
Also on when bryd caught the vertical route from flynn with like 1 second left against Auburn. It caught everyone off guard.
I hear to 1982 FSU orange game was also an exciting game bc i wasn't there but it was also an exciting blowout

1997 Florida - Herb Tyler's last touchdown.

I've described the "moment" in the Florida 2007 game as if the noise wasn't generated by the crowd, but invoked from an infernal dimension. It had a substance to it - a tangible component that words are inadequate to describe.

Actually it wasn't the last play of the game. Auburn had, I want to say about 1:04 left when they got the ball back.
