He's not so much lost as he's just slow as frick. Can't even cover a TE on a 5 yard crossing pattern that turns into a 20 yard gain with Welter's white arse chasing the guy down the field.

I would take a bad year to red shirt and develop key guys and I hope to god that is what's happening? We need to redshirt more guys whether they like it or not..... Red shirt guys come back bigger stronger, more confident, and just better FB players almost every single time. Some guys are put in bf they are mature and their confidence is shot once they realize that they have a tough road ahead. If you give them that tough road to begin with they mature in a much healthier way, and are ignorant to the fact that they may not be as good as the competition. Now there are guys that are ready and you have to seperate these guys from the rest...... There just isn't that many that are ready straight out. I think RS is a very good thing for these kids and we shouldn't tell them otherwise, also shouldn't be talking guys that aren't ready for the NFL into going. You have to recruit those guys too and tell them the truth..... It's not all about the quick dollar but the longevity of that dollar! Just my 2 cents.

why must Chavis have his way? Small LBR's can't to the job, big bad arse ones can like Beckwith.

Laugh at that statement all you want....But Tre White ain't scared to HIT!! Sure he's young and aggressive and will make mistakes at corner but this kid is a beast.

I would rather ANYONE that likes to hit play Mike for us!!

I also expect Welter to start next year.

Bower and Beckwith had redshirts burned this year for a handful of plays.

Doesn't make any freaking sense.

Why burn a redshirt for a handful of plays????

I can already see beckwith getting moved back to lb next yr bumbling a year away in which he could have at least learned the position via valuable practice reps. Hope he doesnt become the shep of the defense.

"Which position should he play today?"

I don't think he totally moved away from LB. I think DE has always been more a situational thing.

Well we can't have opinions because we haven't coached football before. Thems the breaks.

Concur - shows a lot of instinct as well. Closest thing to TM7 on this team.

I thought I saw Beckwith out there late on one of Bama's last drives, so I don't think that's gone anywhere.

he's actually done a lot of things over the yrs with moving guys around that go unnoticed. he doesn't play as vanilla as some of his detractors would have you believe. but he wants guys to get the basic assignments down before he goes all Joe Lee Dunn on an offense.

Agreed. Sad RR21 was pulled after the pass interference penalty. We needed him.
