That team was expected to cruise thru the Regional at the old Box. Instead, the bats went cold and they got eliminated with losses to Ohio State and CSF (the eventual NC that year).

Skip just HAD to throw Peever vs. Providence, rather than throw Schultz or Chamberlain and save Peever to watch him make the Buckeyes exit stage right the following day. Sickening regional aside from Moock's grandslam vs. Tulane.

it's hard to say what year LSU should have won bc we're an all-time 6-0 in the CWS championship game(s)

i'd say 2008 since we were the hottest team going into Omaha. we had went on god mode vs. UC Irvine

1998. We were easily one of the two top teams in the tournament that year. Unfortunately, we were in the same bracket with So. Cal.

1998 for me fricking cold front

Went up there in shorts and short sleeves. Record lows, FML. Ran to Walmart and bought blankets and long johns.

1998. Arrived in Omaha after first two wins with shorts and t-shirts. Temperatures plunged over 60 degrees and had to buy jeans, warmups and sweatshirts at Walmart on 72nd St. Sat behind the grandfather of USC catcher Munson. He was not liking LSU fans around him.

Is 98 the year southern cal beat Arizona state? I remember watching the games then, but I was a little kid so I barely remember.

I still think we should've been starting Coleman in 08. I remember bringing that up all the time.
