Was at the game Saturday night with my 11 year old daughter. The guy sitting behind us was yelling and screaming like any good Tiger fan should. Only problem was every other sentence he would drop an F-bomb. There were several other children within earshot of this. Was wondering how most rantards with kids would have handled this.

I would have "nicely" asked him to watch his mouth around the kids the FIRST TIME.

ask him to stop. i've been the f-bomb guy and been asked to stop and I stopped. If there were other kids around other parents would appreciate you saying something.

Sorry, when I drink Wild Turkey I tend to cuss alot. LSU football games aren't the cleanest of family events. It's a drunk fest. I know you can put anyone in the seats you pay for, but an SEC game at night should be a roudy place. I'm all up for kids growing up LSU fans, but it's the same as a hunting camp. What you see and hear tonight, you should never repeat. That's how I learned it, and I turned out fricking great.

+1

Any reasonable person, or for that matter any person worth a crap, would stop after being asked.

Go talk to the game marshall and let them handle it - if he's drunk it could lead to a bad response from him.

"Dude, I love your enthusiasm and its appreciated! But if there is anyway you could cut down on the F-bombs for the sake of my kid, then I'd appreciate it." Give him some dap, thank him, and a Geaux Tigers.

i've been the f-bomb guy too. and i've been told to watch my mouth a few times. i never got mad about it and i respected their point of veiw. now that my wife and i are now having kids. i would've have told him to watch his fricking mouth before he gets a fist in it.

I dont know If that is expected, It doesn't surprise me when I hear it. I have in the past stopped it with a quickness when my 9 year old daughter is with me.

I've been in this situation before and have asked nicely to please stop with the profanity. In every case, the fan respected the request.

+1 on just asking him to stop.
I have a buddy who works in the oilfield, he is so desensitized to the word he doesn't realize he is using it. When I bring it to his attention, he is always embarrassed & tries to stop.

this seems to come up every season. i certainly don't condone it...but it is a college football game and probably 90% of the fans are significantly under the influence. that tends to lead to a bad word or two
