Nobody's putting a gun to their head and forcing them to buy tix this early.

For some the peace of mind of tickets in hand is worth it. I'm haven't reached OT ballet status yet... so I can't afford that peace of mind.

Just hope I get the 4 I requested from LSU

I don't lose sleep over their loss

I just feel like people have to be a bit on the slow side to not assess the situation and understand a market. Season ticket holders don't have tickets from either team. What makes people think that when the supply increases 4 times over that tickets won't decrease in value. It will work like many IPOs. Be a mad scramble at first and when the excitement wears down the ticket prices will fall.

I've requested 6 and I'm a little on the anxious side to find out where I landed. If those top donors got greedy I'll be pissed if I end up in the 400s. If I wanted to watch on TV I'd find a barstool or a couch where beer doesn't cost $9 not a bincocular distance from the field. In any case I'm ready for September.

yea I think ur spot on regarding ticket prices dropping.

I sat in the corner lower bowl for the CB. View was great & the jumbotron was no distraction. but if I get upperseck for ORE so be it.. I'd much rather the atmosphere of the game, tailgating all day & just being there than watching in my living room.

So you think Oregon is going to bring +30,000 fans? wow. That's like half of their fan base.

This is about what I would guess and I'd put their number close to 15k Oregon fans. That would put them between 15%-20% of the stadium.

15k Fans to a non-bowl away game that requires air travel would be a great showing for them. They don't have the fan/alumni base that LSU does.

I saw this same break down on another page except it was 15k Oregon 65k LSU and 3,000 Mexicans in Cowboy jerseys

Oregon only sold like 7000 tickets and shipped the remaining back to Dallas.

This couldn't be any more false. UO was allotted 15k and sold out immediately. It'll probably still be 65/35 or 70/30 LSU since they were initially given 35k, but at least get the facts straight.

Why don't you put that you're an Oregon fan since your post history indicates you are?

So you think Oregon is bringing 30k fans to Dallas? Oregon barely brings 5k fans to an in-conference road game that they can drive to. What makes you think they will bring 6 times that number to a game they have to fly to?

Oregon won't bring more than 15,000 fans to Dallas.

On TV it looked like they only brought about 20,000 to Tempe for last year's BCSCG.

This is sort of incorrect. We probably travel from 7,000 to Wazzu up to maybe 10-15 k to the bay area and UW. Oregon fans are usually limited by the number of tickets available in the easy road trips as half of them are rivalry games and as of late are marquee matchups for the opposing teams. Any schools in the southern division are just too far for weekend trips for someone living in Oregon or Washington.

For a Pac-10/12 team we do travel well, but if the ticket prices climb at all like at the BCS Championship game last year you will see some fans cashing in.

And people say LSU has the worst fanbase on this board!? No matter the distance, at least LSU fans travel to support their team. Especially a game that big! C'mon Ducks.
