He will always have my respect. But if I were him, I'd forbid the team to read ANYTHING on TD.com. The "fans" on this site perpetuate so much negativity it is ridiculous.

I don't know if he can really do anything about it. I really think a lot of the frustration in the fan base is Les Miles' astounding lack of consistency (whether it be his press comments on QBs, his "want" to use Shepard more, his refusal to see things clearly), and his obscure communication skills.
I think these are both ingrained in his personality, and even if he does win big these traits are likely to rear their ugly head. The bigger the debacle, the more buffoonish his mannerism leading to that bad taste once again.
I am not calling for his head, I still think he is the best choice for LSU at this point; but I think we have to live with him just as he has to learn to live with this fanbase.

Not at all. I can deal with loses, but losing games because of piss poor coaching decisions like last Monday should be unacceptable for a supposed elite program like LSU.
Ok.
Under what conditions would you accept a loss?
Wouldn't any loss be a result of a poor decision by someone at some point in the process?
What poor decisions are acceptable?
Are reputed "elite" teams perfect?
Who decides which teams are "elite"?

that presumes he's lost my respect. He's far from perfect, nobody is. But I'm still 100% behind him

He has a long way to go to get mine back. Just no getting around what happened in the BCS game, none.

Be honest and come clean about the whole thing why he didn't play Lee at the end of the NC Game. That would be nice for starters. Quit talking baby talk to reporters and using strange words that don't fit, speaking in rah rah generalities and address the issues at hand in a straight forward manner. Stop being so hard headed and predictable assuming you are going to will things to happen with magic jedi powers and begin to be a little more flexible and less predictable. If you aren't fooling me, do you think you're really going to fool Saban or any other coach worth his weight with talent of similar ability to that of LSU?

Had it lost it because I am not one of the sheep, most of the sheep on this site would follow miles over a cliff. He lost a lot of my respect and if he stays out of the way and let's Krags coach he will earn all of our respect back. Stick to what you do best, recruiting and selling chicken fingers. Leave the x s and I s up to guys who know what there doing.

He never lost mine.
However, if he can flip Collins...

Nothing - I respect the man. I actually wanted this BCSNC for HIM to get the Saban thing gone for good. Unfortunately, his inept game preparation and lack of adjustments made him look incompetent.
He has flaws as we all do. Unfortunately, his flaws stick out big and at the wrong times.
Hope he beats AL, goes undefeated and wins a BCSNC next year. I doubt it occurs but would love to see it happen.

Have you ever supported Miles?

When have you ever voiced respect for Miles?
Haven't you been a constant critic of Miles?

How do you explain 14 consecutive wins?

I think many fans would have accepted the loss if we had played all three qb's , tried everything in the play book and looked on the sidelines to see CLM coaching his butt off, -maybe and adjustments after half time
again how we lost is what stings

Are Louisiana people saying the same thing about Sean Peyton?

Posted on 1/16/12 at 5:30 pm to Gray Tiger
I will never completely trust him again. I just cannot justify anymore of the shitty moments I have seen from him. With that said, if he can continue to compete for the NC and SEC, show that this years slight struggle towards the end of the recruiting cycle is just a rare occurrence, and keep beating Bama a reasonable amount of the time all until Saban retires and we get that jauggernat out of the way, I will be satisfied with him.

Put up with this fanbase
Would Florida, Alabama, or any other fanbase in the top echelon of CFB be any less critical after what happened in the BCS National Championship Game? I hardly think so.

a lot considering he lost it in September of 2005
