re: What will be your opinion of Les if he attempts another in-house promotion?

I think that the wording of this thread is interesting and telling.
Attempts? Isn't Les Miles the head coach? Isn't it his job to hire or promote whomever he chooses? If he decides to promote from within what is to stop him? The OP?
I think that the OP has a hugely over inflated opinion of himself, his football knowlege and his authority.
That seems to be a pretty common negative poster trait.

No, an attempt meaning if it fails like the co-DC did, they would be fired. So i'm saying attempt as in an attempt to create something permanent but fail. For instance, he attempted to have co-dc's, but it failed.
As far as the "law of averages" goes
RUSHING no-yds/td unc vu ms wvu ut uf mcneese au ua ulm um ar a&m
Stevan Ridley RB 249-1147/15 19-81/0 17-159/1 19-78/1 20-116/1 22-123/1 28-83/0 15-46/2 12-37/0 24-88/1 14-67/2 18-89/3 17-75/2 24-105/1
Yeah. there's legitimate balance with Ridley... 4.6 yards per carry. Only 100+ yard performances were versus Vanderbilt, WVU, and Tennessee during the regular season. Stout defenses there.
And no, i was crying to see a younger guy in all season, I finally got to see that during the A & M game and he made Stevan Ridley look like a bench warmer compared to him.
On a side note, with all the name calling... I'm the one here trying to talk football and debate differences of opinion from a spectator view and some of you "positigers" are the one throwing personal insults out there... very interesting.

1000 yard rusher with 250+ attempts? That's impressive? 250 attempts... how many of his yards came from running the ball on third and long when the defense wasn't even playing the run and LSU wasn't even attempting a first down?
Actually, that's very impressive considering LSU had the worst passing game in the SEC. And you are a moron if you really think most of his 1,000 yards came on 3rd and long.

All Miles did was put the guy who most closely resembled J. Hester in by start C. Scott 2 years ago, and all he did was picked the guy who most closely resembled C. Scott after this past season and started Ridley.
Playing a RB who is a guaranteed 3 or 4 yard pick up almost every time is extremley valuable and is absolutley necessary to get by in SEC play. Idiots like you don't realize it because it's not flashy, so you automatically assume the backups are much better.

Thank you dearly for your insight on the definition of clash big guy.

Ok fair enough, I'll be sure to pull this thread up next season when Spencer Ware finishes with 1200+ yards and only 80% of the attempts at most.

whether it works or not, at this timetag, it will be deemed a loss opportunity. There is an opportunity to get someone who is not an experiment and who is highly-touted and who is beyond reproach. The Co-DC and Crowton experiments were never deemed as beyond reproach, and they are both considered failed decisions.
