What We Need V. Arky

The Arkansas game boils down to one thing: LSU has to get off to a fast start on offense.
Arkansas can't keep its QB upright, so we have to get them into a situation where they have to throw. Obviously, the defense can help by stuffing them on 1st down, but once we know they have to throw our D-line should feast.
The Hogs are 117th in the nation in sacks allowed at more than four a game.
If we can get up two scores and stay there into the second half, then they don't have a prayer.

I understand he's "probing" somewhat. I also get that it's scripted. But these are some really really slow starts on offense.
Specifically, I want to see us run the ball... wide, gut, jet sweeps, RPO, even draws. I want to see every type of rush from every possible formation this Sat.
Not "grind it out" but "fast break style". Like Oregon used to do, but not from spread.
I'd like for this team to come out and prove they can control the entire breadth of the field and do whatever they want on the ground, whenever they want.

And we're tied for 6th in the nation in total sacks (30).
They are last or second to last in the SEC in rush defense. And we're 2nd or 3rd I think in rush offense.
Read an article about how glaring weaknesses don't usually line up with obvious strong points, but when they do it won't be a competitive game.
So I think

The Arkansas game boils down to one thing:
We'll run at will on them. They'll be forced to throw the ball and will incur sacks and ints as a result. I'd be surprised if they score more than 10.

As long as we don't come out flat, we should do that.
Could be a repeat of the Ole Miss game.
Tigers win.

Arky has a physical oline and some good backs. They aren't good
In pass pro but are much tougher to handle in the running game. Since we've struggling quite a bit with run D I think Arky will be a tougher out than many think.

Only LSU can make this a close game. Arky is awful.

It's been a while since LSU has come out of the starting game cracking the whip and kicking arse on Arky.
If they can do this at 11 am on Saturday morning I will personally be very very impressed.

LSU is finally health on the D Line and held Bama who was averaging 298 ypg to 116 yds. I little more than 1/3 their avg. If LSU comes to play Arkansas will have a tough day on the ground or through the air.

Orgeron has the team playing hard and getting better. LSU should roll

If the improvement we've seen week to week continues we should roll Arky by 20 or more.
