Home against Ole Miss in 68. Manning’s sophomore season. Back and forth lead changes. Lost at the end. Basketball was Pete’s freshman season. Left before the varsity played.

Ever: vs Wyoming in the 68 Sugar Bowl. Pounded them with the toss sweep in the second half.
In Tiger stadium: Mississippi State. Bert Jones broke off an option run for 60+.

Basketball - 1969 at the old Cow Palace. LSU vs Tennessee. We went right back over the following night and saw the Harlem Globetrotters. I came away more impressed with the Globetrotters than with Pete Maravich...
Football was LSU vs Notre Dame in 1971. LSU beat that arse, led by Sr RB Arthur Cantrelle and some dude named Bert Jones.
