I really think it was an illegal block of the plate, therefore Foster could have given him the business.

With the difficulty we have had scoring a run, you have to do something other than let the guy catch the damn ball and put you out like you have no guts to at least make the ump decide and possibly a review that might go the other way because he hadnt caught the ball yet. looked like little league really.

I remember jumping over first base from a few games ago.

But Foster used to play football and is capable of going through that catcher to score the run.

Apologies for getting on this thread pretty late, but a question I have about this whole situation is that I thought in professional baseball, you cannot block the plate without the baseball--is there any difference in college baseball?

Oops, I went back & read the 2nd page of this thread, so what I was asking has already been discussed.
