It dosen't matter if we do not improve our route running and improve in the most crucial spot on the field and that is to develop a middle range game and that’s something Danny struggled with at times with his accuracy and touch on throws. per Mike Detillier

That's correct. Enter Jerry Sullivan the technical WR coach with years of NFL experience. He coached Anquan Boldin to offensive rookie of the year and in 2015 got Allen Robinson to the pro-bowl despite having Blake Bortles as his QB.

Also, there is a lot more confidence in the ability of Brennan to throw over the middle and intermediate routes. In limited action Brennan fired a strike over the middle to Sullivan on a deep cross but he dropped it. It would have been a TD. That's what Brennan brings.

Consider an opposing DC knowing you won't test the middle of the field or intermediate routes. How hard was it really to defend against us?

Look...I really want this experiment to work...but if Ensminger really has success with our offense next year...he will have to go down as one of the most under utilized coaches in the history of college football.

So if he does great...we still f@cked up.

To start I was not for hiring SE as OC and I would have loved to see a power spread guy in, but I kinda remember danny etling was horrible that game. If I remember correctly he was overthowing open Wr's on 5 yd routes.

Without agreeing or disagreeing, scheme and execution do affect each other.

I think sometimes scheme and execution have to achieve a balance. Was the scheme so intensive it affected execution? In the offseason the WRs joked that they had to adjust their diet and get in better shape to execute all the motions involved in Canada's offense. Did the motions affect the WRs when they actually executed the route? You could see some of the problems get cleaned up as the season progressed, but periodically you would see some of the issues arise. Chark, our most accomplished WR would have occasional WTF moments.

He can pull styles from this years Bama, Georgia teams and Clemson's O in general.

Do people really believe this is how building an offense works? You don't just take three styles of successful teams' offense throw em in a pot and become amazing on offense. It's not like making a gumbo, no matter how much you or O may think so.

You don't become elite by just following a template.

So you’re basically saying it’s a lose/lose for the football program
