Yeah, it is, I'm pretty sure any school similar to Oklahoma St. would want him. I'm sure he could duplicate the success he had there.

I dunno, he'd be pretty easy to recruit against.

Is there really someone better out there you guys would rather have? It's one thing to want a better coach, but it wouldn't be wise to fire the guy if you don't have a suitable replacement in mind.

that depends who he is recruiting. there are lots of parents out there who would love their sons to play for a man like Les Miles. He's done a pretty good job of recruiting for LSU and I expect that he will hire a new OC and continue to do well.

If I had to make a decision today for a coach to replace Miles, I'd take Butch Davis. He's proven winner, he's been at a high profile school, and he is a very good recruiter. Hands down, I think he would be a very good fit for LSU and if my name were Joe Alleva, I would be on the phone to Chapel Hill - TODAY!

Can anyone think of one BCS team?

I can think of a lot. He has a pretty steady record of fielding very good teams at both LSU and OSU, including a national championship. This is not a close call.

I've been surprised at the clock management issues but nobody can legitimately argue with 9 and 10 win seasons.
