You must not watch the same ESPN that I watch. But anyway. He asked what schools would I want, and I gave mine...based on my opinion. I agree USC is still talked about a lot, but it ain't typically in a good way...and after a couple of years of bowl ineligibility, they will lose their luster. Bama is the hot team now, UF second. Been that way for a couple of years now actually.

Oh, your opinion is welcomed. I'm just saying that they are the most "well known." Not best. But they will still be playing on TV almost every week this year because of their name, recruiting, and controversies.

Good road trips, plus good teams.

Miami (schedule a cruise while you're there)
Washington (I know we have that, but I liked the road trip)
Boston College or Virginia Tech (D.C. area)

Also, even though it wouldn't benefit LSU, it would be cool to see them play in the snow somewhere.

My preferred 6 in order of preference are:

Tx A&M
Nebraska
Ohio State
USC
Oklahoma
Michigan

Tx A&M because it has the potential to be as good as any natural rivalry in college football

Otherwise, I personally feel that Nebraska, Ohio State and LSU have the most true and avid fans in all of American sports...so that is why I select them

Oklahoma and Michigan would be cool also, and of course USC would be fantastic

Texas A&M was epic in the 80's. Excellent series and should be the top choice, but the Aggies hated because of recruiting favored LSU.

Ga Tech- old rival that ought to be revived.

Ohio State- A couple of epic games in the 80's. SEC vs. Big 10 is worth it.

Notre Dame- More epic 80's battles, plus for some reason we hate those "golden domers" bigtime!

My top three:

Boise St
TCU
Fresno St

Then ESPN can not say that they are better than LSU that will give LSU the heads up over everyone else when it comes to the rankings. I believe LSU would beat all three of them. If there was one I would say had a chance it would be TCU because at least they do have a Defense.

But I think this would open LSU up more in Texas and out West. You talking about pissing off Texas that would, it would put LSU squarely in the middle of Texas. Like the song "Deep in the Heart of Texas!"

Then if not that then:
Fla St
Notre Dame
Texas

These three would still open up our recruiting like nothing else. Have home & home with Fla St opposite with Florida, that way we would be in Florida every year! We already are getting into Texas some but the years we beat them it would really give us a better chance. As far as ND goes who doesn't want to play them?

Anybody who dares.......

....but my top 3 would have to be

FSU
USC
TX

Outside the SEC, these three have had the strongest recruiting in the last 9 years. OK and OSU would just barely not make the list. CAL would be interesting.
