I'm just not emotionally invested like you are

Maybe our facilities and resources and recruits aren't as good as some of y'all claim them to be

As the flagship state public university, uber money-generating, self-sustaining, "all other sports and university"-supporting program, in the highest NFL-player per capita state, that it is... WE SHOULD EXPECT MORE.

0 - 12, as he has a 5 year deal. However, everyone knows that he couldn't finish 0 - 12 even if he tried.

He should win his first 5. He could easily lose the next 4(at UF, AU, at Ole Miss, at Alabama). The next 3 --- Arkansas, UT, TA&M --- will make or break his season.

This sounds like every season for LSU, and would be the case for us regardless of who is HC.

Not firing a coach for going 7-5 actually makes us look dumber

Thats not possible....we could not possibly look dumber than we currently do.

7-5 is not good but if one of the wins is bama some how....then he gets a pass for the first year.
6-6...break out the pitchforks and torches!

O will not get fired for 8-4 even 7-5 as the higher ups will spin it as rebuilding, new OC and many players went on to the NFL- Many seniors and many juniors left early.

However, I don't think there will be any reason to worry as we saw this year how Aranda's first year proved very successful, and should be good next year, even with the loss of White, Adams, Beckwith and Riley. If Godchaux leaves that hurts a bit but I think he comes back with a better year for his NFL draft status to improve with a better 2017.

We all saw what happened in 2007 with Crowten in his first year, no one new what LSU was doing on offense and he won the Natty, hell he destroyed Va. Tech and that set the tone for a championship run. I think Les interfered with the offense in the Kentucky and Arkansas games and we lost those. Yet, we beat Ohio State and won a championship in his first year. LSU desperately needs a new offense and Canada or similar will do that. Heck, look what Esminger did thrown into the fire-set a few LSU records for offense in SEC play.

Our DL will be better next year and I think Devon White and Ray Thorton or Divinity plug up the middle and Key and Sci Martin or Andre Anthony cover the other side. Our DB will be great and if we land Marvin Wilson with Shelvin, Todd Harris to go with Jacoby Stevens, and another couple of solid LB, Aranda will have a field day in year 2.

I think Etling will do great next year in a better system as he proved he can move in the pocket and create plays. A better system will make it easier for him. If Malachi comes back to go with Chark and Dee Anderson improves look out. Guice will carry the load with Williams and Brossette, and if we get Akers a bonus and if not Etienne will join the scat back with strength Clyde Helaire.

Our OL will be the key and I think a new OC will have them playing better with a better designed scheme. We have some horses coming in at OL like Deculus, Charles, Ingram and Stewart. Also its sad we lost Buggs, but I keep saying this for a long time, Justin Thomas and Neil Farell are awesome and great finds from Alabama as they proved in the Miss vs Bama all star game played recently.

Hopefully, our new OC comes out on fire and I think we beat everyone except Bama and another and finish with only 2 losses.

Coach O will do his thing firing up the boys, keeping their legs fresh, and letting the coaches coach and it will be refreshing to watch the new offense move the football and score some points and our Defense doing what they do best!
