Quoting you insinuating that I said this years team was more talented even though it was never said.

I’m stating my opinion based on the comment you made where you said
I’m saying there is a difference besides coaching and it’s talent. Also I could easily make the argument this comment by you could mean you think the teams are equal talent wise. How about you quit with the word games and let’s talk actual basketball. I gave my X and O description on why this team is struggling and the changes I think CMM needs to make. Let’s hear yours.

That’s pretty ironic since you just again accused me of what you keep saying you never accused me of. I’m sorry you can’t read, there are no word games. These are two extreme seasons in comparison, last year we finished 3 spots ahead of where we were predicted and secured a national 6 seed despite a ton on turmoil and this year after the same prediction was made we’re in dead last. If you took that to mean we should be replicating last years season you’re not too bright. Again I’ve clarified that multiple times yet you ignore it to continue your BS.

This years team lacks the talent necessary to win.
CMM has to make some changes heading into to next season X and O wise to get this headed in the right direction

McMahon has done a poor job coaching mediocre talent this year. It is undeniable that this team has significantly underperformed most , if not all preseason projections from fans and media gurus alike.
Next year is looking to be an even more difficult year because of recruiting and coaching. Trent Johnson redux.

Yep, he’s simply not a winning P5 level coach. You look at what he wants to do and it’s not going to translate to winning much. You can look around the landscape of college basketball and you won’t find more than a couple of teams who compete in the big conferences playing this type of basketball.

Where’s that ms where we disagree. We have average roll players and 1 go to guy. That’s not gonna cut it in the SEC especially when running a very heavy PnR offense. CMM either has ti recruit guys that fit that mold or go to more of a Princeton offense that doesn’t require as talented of players.

We have more talent than OM, UGA, SC, State, Vandy, Fla and a couple others who are ahead of us plus those same type teams in every other P5 conf yet we’re one of and maybe the worst P5 team in the country. The talent excuse relative to where we are isn’t valid.

I 100% think we are underperforming but I just think we aren’t very talented at the guard position. I just don’t see it. Adam Miller would be fine if he’s your 4th/5th option on O but as a top 3 option he just isn’t there.

I think the non production coming from the perimeter has a lot to do with personnel choices. I understand early on him wanting to trust Justice Hill but within the first couple weeks it was obvious he wasn’t the guy. What he should’ve done was play Miller and Hayes as Co-PGs the way we did with Smart and Mays. Hayes has had really good stretches at point and Miller was the U20 Team USA MVP as a PG. The drop off in ability from those 2 to Hill and Justice Williams is huge and McMahon’s stubbornness at the PG position has crippled us more than anything else.

I actually agree with you on this. CMM isn’t a dumb guy. I think you’re gonna see some major changes next season. He took over a nightmare. If I don’t see some major issues fixed year 2 then I’ll start worrying.

Look at how smooth the offense is right now with Hayes and Miller running the show. They command attention, the ball moves on time and all of the sudden shots are falling. That last turnover by Hayes was terrible though. Have to move that ball sooner.
