re: What is the price to keep Aranda as our D.C.?

Aranda does not want to be a head coach. He wants to be a coordinator only. He'd be miserable doing what coach Ed O is good at.
Relax, he and his family love it here. Aranda says he loves working for coach O and his wife and kids love Baton Rouge. He isn't going anywhere.

Damn, I am glad SaintLSU told me this. Now I don't have to watch the rest of the season.

Pay him 1.5-2m a year on a 3 year deal, and i think he stay for only 3 years. By then he will be a head coach, or nfl coordinator by then.

3.5 million a year if we have to

Link to him saying this?
Where do y'all come up with this wishful thinking bullshite?

This data is now a few years old, but looks like we are staying on par to keep him if it's all about $$$... but prob nothing we can do if it's personal aspirations.

You will pony how much?

One hundred million dollars...(no, I haven't read any of this thread)....

Coach O is the ultimate cheerleader. (better than Miles, and that's saying a lot). Pay Aranda, Canada, and O the same, and let's this be the machine that rocks the scene for the next few years!!!

Well he's is arguably the best d coordinator in college football so they need to do whatever they have to do to keep him. I'm sure O will agree with this as well.

You continue to pay the man enough to keep him away from bama when little Nicky retires in 4 or 5 years.

Bama scooping up Aranda in any kind of way would make this site crash.

Until someone actually provides a source (I know facts aren't your strong suit), this is is a baseless claim.

Probably 3M.

He's interviewed for NFL DC positions, but no college HC positions, and that's a fact. If he was interested in being a HC he more than likely would have kicked the tires on a smaller opening somewhere.

Jury still out on Canada. Let's see how that one evolves. Not ready to put Canada at an Aranda level yet.

Aranda is a film room and X and O junkie.
I get the feeling he'd fit in better on the NFL where he can focus 100% on that and not have to recruit.
If he leaves, I'd love the Saints to grab him.

He may like recruiting. Never know. I think it would be fun to scout different players with different skill sets and plug them in your defense. I pray he likes recruiting
