Now that it looks like his brain is catching up with his body, what's his best case? I think with a great year, he could go as high as top 5. The size and arm strength are too much for the scouts to pass on.

First round if he continues to build on last nights performance.

First round pick. I don't think he's a top 10 pick though. Mobility may be an issue but I'd love to be wrong.

I dont see him going Top 5. I think hes a top 2 rounds guy. Could go in the first but more likely second or 3 round pick up. Not a ton of teams are gonna be looking for QBs

I think he could be picked up in rounds 3-4, maybe higher if he improves. He made some throws last night not all the guys playing on Sunday would have made. Picking up the speed of the NFL game may be an issue though

2-3 rounds
If there was a need for qbs like there was 2 years ago, then maybe he could go first round.

I'm guessing his ceiling is the first round. I would never pick him in the first, but some gm managed to pick Christian Ponder in the first.

I think everyone around here knew Jamarcus was a terrible pick at #1, but the size and arm was too much for the guys that focus way too much on measurables. I don't think he has Jamarcus' arm strength, but he is already more accurate on the short to intermediate throws.

I think if he continues improving the accuracy and gets pocket awareness and good enough feet to avoid pressure, he is going to skyrocket. Being tutored by Cameron is also going to add to his stock.

I doubt it all comes together in one year, but if it does, I really think his ceiling is top 5-10.

I am looking at it in a vacuum, I don't follow the NFL close enough to know who needs what.

Hard to say at this point. Depends on who needs a QB at the end of the year in the NFL and which QB's leave early from college. If it turns out to be a QB poor class with a high demand in the NFL, 1st rd is a possibility. But if it's a QB rich class and no one needs a QB he can fall down to 5-6ish. Too many variables to even try to rank QB's right now. But he has the talent to be a first rounder, no doubt. He just needs to have a solid year and have a few things go his way.

With a good year he could end up like EJ, Flacco, and Freeman as guys that were drafted middle 1st due to their size, arm strength, etc.

If he keeps up his improved play he will go in the first 2 rounds

His ceiling is obviously the first pick in the draft. But I don't think that will happen.

Let us all know how games need to pass before fans can discuss draft potential for qbs.

Theres always a need for QBs in the NFL. And the draft class last year was one of the weaker qb drafts in recent memory

Teams are going to be starved for QBs this year and Mett has all the physical tools they want in a QB, he could easily be in the top half of the first if he continues to play like he did last night and he shows out in his workouts pre-draft

Hes had first round potential since he stepped on campus, now hes just starting to tap into that potential

Thank you.

It's only one game and although that's the best he's looked as a Tiger, he proved that he still can't throw accurately on the run.

Don't take me wrong, I'm thrilled with Mett's play last night and I'm eagerly looking forward to his continued improvement, but let's be real... He still has a long way to go before he's drafted in the first few rounds. Let's see what he looks like against some of the SEC defenses.
