That may just be his salary for either the boys or girls teams and not both...

4. Making excuses for Les Miles' bone-headed decisions, particularly on offense.
If men's BB continues to falter, this could go to number three again, where it briefly resided in the days following 1/9/12.

Track and Field.

Maybe Ladies BBall and Softball are perhaps a bit ahead of Gymnastics, Golf and Soccer, but not all that much. Some of that depends on which sport (particularly female) has a star player getting some media attention. Track (collectively) has the strongest argument for being in a Big 4, with Ladies BBall next.

You are part of a (too) small group of posters who provides back-up to what you say...don't always agree with you, but nice to know the Board has some facts on it from time to time...thanks

FWIW, their women's basketball coach Gary Blair makes $800,000.

And didn't they win it all recently?

THe thing is, you really need one superstar to have a good women's bball team. We had a stretch with two and made it to five straight final fours.

Coaching is only a small part of it (we did it with 4 different head coaches over that stretch).

I honestly don't care about anything outside of football, mens basketball, and baseball.

I like the track championships when we would win them. It did pad our total number of championships.

Women's basketball is number 4, though.

That is correct. That's what the state pays him (a portion of his overall salary). Les Miles takes in $300,000 in state money too.
