... Alabama is clearly ranked #1 -- but to an honest observer, they have not been challenged to this point.

MSU is pretty good team... they will not be a pushover for Alabama or anyone on their schedule.

They are in a position to play for the SEC West crown - but need to win games they have tradionally not won (@ Alabama and @ LSU).

So -- what if MSU rains on Bama's parade and Bama comes in to Death Valley with a loss --- MSU becomes the SECW front runner and LSU still controls it's own destiny.

No matter how you "slice" it - each game is "must win" to keep championship hopes alive.

Would like nothing more than to be playing MSU for all the SEC West marbles in Tiger Stadium on 11/10.

MSU is always a physical team. Win or lose, they'll give Bama some bumps and bruises going into our game.

MSU is damn good. I think they will prove to be by far Bama's biggest test thus far. Looking forward to watching that one.

Will definitely give LSU something to watch next week. Could be close, but I think bama beats them. MSU is just not on that level just yet.

Yep.

I want bama to be undefeated when we play them though.

I don't think MSU will beat Bama on the scoreboard, but I have no doubt they will physically beat up Bama, which will give LSU a little more of an edge on Nov. 3.

Also, I won't be surprised to see aTm beat MSU when they play.

A&M, LSU, and Miss St or the toughest games on the schedule for the diatoms. Bama has not been challenged yet. Didn't understand why A&M wasn't ranked a little higher and Moo St. is a solid team. Don't know about the outcomes of those games but all three have the ability to come out with a W!

I think State is not as good as people would like them to be.

Probably not, but hopefully good enough to make recovery rough the following week

Worst nightmare for those fair weather fans trying to sell their tix for 3-4 digits.

I think State will play them very physically but Bama eventually pulls away bc of their depth

I don't see A&M coming close to beating Bama. Our offensive inconsistency aside, they were on the ropes midway through the 3rd quarter yesterday.

If MSU wins, they become the New #1. They would have the best wins and will be undefeated. With Bama having all the votes, obviously everyone thinks Bama is the best. All things being equal, beat the best and you become the best. MSU, Bama and LSU all control their own destiny at this point, who ever wins out from this point on will play for the BCSNC.
