Even if JL is better diring spring and summer than JJ, JJ will start. The pick 6 problem, of them 7 !!!, will prevent Miles from starting JL. Imagine the impact if JL starting and he throws a pick 6 !!!! Miles looks like a fool and the team has a huge hurdle to overcome. In fact, Miles is wishing Shepard will be his #2 QB to keep JL: off the field. JL problem will not go away. He will instintively throw the bad ball, as he has shown many times.

Ok. Well what if team is down 20-0 at the Swamp w/ UF clicking on all cylinders, then w/ 45 seconds to go in the half the opposing teams QB leads a scoring drive to make it 20-7 at half time? Then what if that same QB comes in to start the second half and drives down for a score to make it 20-14? And what if the UF fans go stone quiet and start holding their hands around their throat for the choke signal. And what if on UF's next drive it's 3rd and 4 and all 90 thousand people know that Tebow is going to run and the opposing team does not set up a reasonable shot to stop him?

Well that's exactly what transpired between UF and LSU. I was there!

At 20-14 our defense proved it would not stop anyone the rest of the year. Do realize that if the fullback for MSU catches that wide open pass we may also lose that game!

It was the defense. It was not Jarrett Lee. The need for some Tiger Fans to vent their frustrations and scapegoat Jarrett Lee is very troubling and sad.

BTW, it was not the defensive players. It was the Defensive Coaches to be more specific.

I'll put our players up against any teams!

Specs1, I agree with your post 100%. BUT........you gotta admit that its not fair.

Its TIM FREAKIN TEBOW vs...jarret lee.

Determined Battle tested, fearless leader vs someone trying to find himself.

We could have had Vince Young in there and I still think we would have probably lost that game. Agree with you on the defensive coaches vs players as well.

That Florida game as well as the Auburn game are the only two games where I give Lee a complete pass on. The Auburn game was him just starting out in a tough spot. The Florida game was a situation where you have Tim Tebow and Urban Meyer mad as hell and saying to themselves they NEED this game......they WANT this game.....they HAVE TO HAVE THIS GAME AT ALL COST.........AT HOME......AT NITE.......no-win situation for Lee and the tigers almost.

I don't think the coaches should let that happen as Lee chokes in games. I could careless if he beats JJ out in practice, it's all about winning games and if Lee is a head case, he's a head case.

He's slow in the head and on his feet, not a good combo in the SEC

If JL beat out JJ or Shep and started, the first pick 6 he throws will end the season for LSU. The defense will quit. Coach M surely knows this and won't put JL or LSU in that position.

it's all about winning games

In games he started and finished this year JLee was 4 and 3. The first loss was to UF when they were ranked around 10, and of course they finished #1. Second loss was to GA when they were ranked around 10. Third loss was to Bama when they were ranked #1. Also, throw in a comeback in relief at Auburn.

JJ was 1-1 w/ the loss coming to the one of the worst teams in the SEC.

So, JJ may go on to have an awesome career at LSU and that would be great. But your opinion is obviously not about wins and losses. It's about the emotion you feel for one guy over the other. That in and of itself is troubling.

If Lee beats out Jefferson, he will start and play the first quarter until he throws his first brain-dead interception for 6!

Who knows, he might have learned the significants of different colored jerseys.

If lee beats out JJ then he'll break his own record for pick 6's thrown in a season... but hopefully the coaches we'll pull him before it gets that far

Yet another pathetic response from your typical brain dead LSU fan.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say the coaches will start whomever they feel gives LSU the best chance to win.

I'm sure the rest of the thread covers this... but I just got back from out of town, and this is the first thing I see on this board. Would you idiots quit posting this shite?

7 pages of shite. Get above J.L. v. J.J.. It's all been done.

Sometimes we have new information... that's what I like about this board. Sometimes, good insight or opinions. Sometimes, good responses which question our own opinions. Sometimes, humor which puts it all in perspective.

Beating up a player or taking up for him no matter what... adds nothing for me. TMO.

JJ could've thrown for 200+ easy if crowton was calling more offensive friendly plays rather than 40+yd bombs all the time in the 2nd half.

FYI, his first pick-six was on a SCREEN PASS!!! Not to mention just about all of his pick-sixes were about 20yds down the middle of the field. He just couldn't, for one reason or another, see the middle of the field. JJ showed a few times in only two games that he has the ability to look off DB's. Also, when a play broke down Lee was running in mud. Another thing JJ brings to the table. I'll take JJ for the win Alex.
