I don,t care who the QB is , somebody needs to learn how to throw a forward pass more than 5 yards!

THIS. Some people are so fricking stupid that they think fans would rejoice is Jennings plays poorly again just to prove a point. We want to win. That's it.

there are people on this board that literally only post after losses during football season and disappear after a win.

if Jennings does happen to start and do well there will be people that will find something to bitch about.

why do people say retarded shite like this? Some of you act like its a personal hatred people have for him. On small fraction of a chance that he absolutely balls out not one single person would be angry about it.....except Tiger Lee but that's because he's a racist a-hole.....and also probably gay.

Nobody hates Jennings. He works hard and seems like a very good kid. He just doesn't play well. And this is big-time football, so we expect performance on the field and it's fair of us to be critical when that doesn't occur.

It is never about the person, but about the disappointment of the play of the player. That is so basic, but people confuse the difference. Same with boos. It is about the results from the player, not about the person, and about frustration that the coaches did not do their job by selection and/or development of the QB position.

People know that the kid wants to do better, but that they are sometimes unaware of how bad they are, because the coaches fill them with false confidence instead of adjusted mental and physical skills.

You could say that there's a not inconsiderable racist element on here that wants Jennings to fail because, well, you know. Tigrlee isn't the only one by a long shot.

I don't know. Why do people say "retarded shite" like Jennings will never improve to the point he becomes an effective college QB or Jennings "sucked" in every game last season or if Harris doesn't become the starter it's only cause Miles plays "favorites".

I don't know bout a "personal hatred", but this conclusion that some have formed bout Jennings and Harris for that matter, after their 1st and 2nd yrs. in the program seem based in no college/SEC football reality I have known.

Hate to break it to all of the negative nancies on here, but there's no "what if". I've mentioned it on here before, but it bears repeating. Tony has been working extremely hard in the offseason and is about as mentally prepared as anyone else on the squad. His will was borne under fire this past season. The starting job will be solidified for him by the end of summer practice.

just keep this thread alive the entire season.

then we do not need 4,302,000 threads on this theme during the year.

it is not even summer yet, and there have already been 100 threads on this.

The kid who is 3rd string sometimes gets a word of praise from Miles.

I can see it now, 3rd string steps in vs Bama in 4th quarter with the game on the line, hits Trey Quinn for an acrobatic TD catch that reminds the TV analyst of Lynn Swann in the Super Bowl, and LSU goes undefeated, wins SEC championship, beats Pac 10 champ in the semi's, all is well until the natty and 4,000 people are still posting WHAT IF Harris had started vs THE Ohio State in the natty.

Hard work and mental preparation is great, but without the required underlying talent, it won't get him very far.

Right, because all the racist fans want the black starter gone so the backup can play. Oh wait....

Jennings should wear 18 some day for the way he has handled things. But let's be honest, he has shown ZERO improvement since day one. He must look like Peyton Manning in practice. Boss is not a word that comes to mind on game day.

If Jennings develops the ability to read a defense at a serviceable level, and competantly execute a pass play, this team will be championship caliber, and if he is able to make a "big leap" from being one of the worst starting qb's in Division 1 to merely being average, a lot of Tiger fans, including myself, will gladly admit we were wrong about him.
