So is trying to give the stain of racism the cover of valid criticism.

It does work both ways.

I agree with this except the DA's office part. He coulda dropped the charges and been called an LSU homer until the end of time. Dude did the best he could in that situation...

I don't care who plays at QB. Like I....I just don't understand who cares. Not at this point. Not when we're 10-0.

I'm not apart of the Lee family. I don't care about his stats, I don't care about his playing time. I care about the effort of the team and LSU winning a title. Being that we're 10-0 and all the things this team has over came I'm just going to sit back and let the staff make the decisions. It seemed to have worked so far.

look as CLM said earlier in the week, JL knows the score here. He knows what the team is playing for. If the coaches decide something, we'll that's their job. JL is a redshirt senior, this ain't 2008 anymore.

It's not about what is fair. Fair woulda been not losing everyfrickingthing I owned in 2005 but IT happened. Nothing in life is "fair" good job by the coaches teaching the team this at this young stage of their lives

Just curious how did JL look in practice this past week leading up to the W Ky game since you feel he should have started the game.

yes because winning the NC with JJ getting significant playing time would be such a travesty

It's not about fricking "fair." Not to individual players anyway. It's about what's fair to the fricking team and doing what's best to put the team in position to win. I think it's clear the coaches think Jefferson gives them that chance. You can disagree with that--that's valid. But all this crying over "fair" is just fricking bullshite. Nobody is "deserved" a fricking thing.

Most people feel like the offense is non-existent with JJ in the game. They don't hate him. He's a talented change up from the passing game of JL. However, if the fear is that LSU will lose in the critical games, if JJ is running the offense. Yes, LSU will win in spite of poor QB play, but it may look like 2010 or last night.

Last year, LSU was one decent QB away from another NC. I'm just hoping this year is not the same.

I think the way Miles has handled the QBs to this point has been extremely effective. The offense - with both QBs - has been more efficient and effective than last year. I'm not saying that Lee should have started; I'm a big Lee fan, but he laid a huge egg last game - the biggest of the season so far. There should be consequences for that. No problem with him not starting.

That said, it just seems to me that there are different standards applied. I was surprised at how little Lee actually played (after he was announced as the starter). Moreover, Les has consistently pulled Lee even when he is playing very well to insert Jefferson, and it doesn't seem that he's willing to pull Jefferson even when he is playing very poorly (as he did at times last night).

But its not my decision to make nor my standard that matters. It just pains me to see how many times Lee has saved Miles's butt (Tennessee last year?), yet he seems hell bent on giving Jefferson as much leeway as possible. Lee has been very good this year, and very steady. I think he's earned the same opportunity that Jefferson has - and Les Miles himself has said that.

Somewhat selective memory. He was certainly a fan favorite towards the end of his career, but I was at the Auburn game in '99 where they were about to boo him out of the fricking stadium. Didn't have anything to do with race though, all three of our QBs sucked at that point.

Rohan was very good QB. If he wasn't so good you would have heard the remarks.

To deny that it's a factor is really naive. What I think a bigger factor here, though is that most of us--myself included--assume Lee is probably just a better guy than Jefferson. He's easier to root for. And that skews objectivity.

What is this, girl scouts? Flag football for 6 year olds? If he is so upset for getting benched after completing 5 passes against Alabama - 3 to LSU players and 2 to Alabama players - he needs to grow a sack.

Further, I trust Les Miles knows what is best for the team. We have no earthly idea what the practice week was like for the QB's. We have no earthly idea if Lee has been going to class.

The team had 474 yards of total offense last night. How can you make such a statement?

I do agree with you.. JL is much eaiser to root for than JJ.
For me its not about color, but for some I suppose its part of it.
If I had to list 10(1 being most imoprtant) reasons why JL is easier to root for...... bc he is white would be #10.

There is a reason "most people" aren't division 1 college coaches.

Why can't "most people" trust the coaches of the #1 ranked team to do what they think is best for the team?
